Went to book a room here. Firstly we asked to see the room before booking as I saw comments about bed bugs in the reviews. The young lady who was there in the reception denied the room tour before confirming the booking. Then unfortunately they said kids under 14 is not allowed to stay it seems. Wait what? Why?

Warning: Bed Bugs Unfortunately, we have to write this review even though the hostel itself seems to have a good system and makes a positive first impression. The staff are friendly and the concept appears well organized. However, we had a very unpleasant experience. After we arrived and lay down for a short rest, we woke up to find the bed full of bed bugs. The bed bugs were already quite large, which suggests that the problem has existed for some time. The staff came into the room immediately and sprayed an insecticide. We decided to check out right away. We were met with some understanding and received a full refund, which we appreciate. When we saw the condition of the mattress, it was completely pitch black and extremely unhygienic. Our decision to check out was not fully understood by the staff, they suggested simply moving us to another room, which made us feel that the seriousness of the situation was not properly recognized. Additionally, the hostel was almost empty, with only one other guest, so it was not very suitable for socializing.

They double booked my room so my fiancé and I had to have a twin for the first few days. There was never any soap or toilet paper in the bathrooms, I got bites all over my face from some insects in my pillow the first two nights could have been bed bugs I don’t know. They also run out of traditional breakfast one morning and only had waffles that tasted like cardboard I asked for the Dahl and they didn’t make more even tho it was included for me. One other traveler got €150 stolen from her bag in the dormitory and when she requested an incident report to take to the police so she could claim it back through her travel insurance staff were very unhelpful and did not provide any documentation to her, they didn’t even let her look at the security camera footage Upon checking out I asked the staff three times to please lock my luggage up for me as I was worried about theft. They left us sitting there waiting for over an hour and in the end they didn’t lock it up so we left and went to the airport 8 hours early because I couldn’t stand to be there any longer.

Bed bugs and facilities very basic

Ich hatte in diesem Hostel leider Bettwanzen. Dafür kann das Hostel natürlich nichts, aber trotzdem hat das eine negative Erfahrung hinterlassen. Alles in einem trotzdem ein nettes Hostel für 1-2 Nächte.
