BED BUGS. My first night I had bedbugs in my bed and the bottom sheet had some stains on it. Thankfully the woman at reception was very kind and put me in a new room.

really nice atmosphere and location, everyone was friendly, I had a great time but I got bites from bed bugs. I would recommend if you are social and into meeting new people.

Both third floor showers had their own issue. One with a broken head, another with terrible water pressure. Two people in my dorm i kept up with apparently got bed bugs. The breakfast was nice though. Warm milk was off putting but the eggs and sausage was nice.

The heat didn't work! The room was supposed to heat through AC unit, which was so old and not functioning (it blew cold air even on heat mode). The response I got was: "it is saturday night, we cannot find someone to repair, my colleague will arrive later to look into it" (spoiler alert: they never did), and was offered to cancel my reservation and to go somewhere else (where in the hell was I supposed to find alternative accomodation, in Croatia capital, in winter, during advent season???). They didn't even offered me some alternatives, another room or bed, heater, anything... and only when I insisted they gave me extra blankets, because with them my a** would be frozen. I am not some kind of Karen, and I never expected some kind of luxury, just wanted some place to stay, but I think that asking for a functioning heating during wintertime is not a special request, but a basic necessity. The only reason I gave 3 instead of 1 star is that the room was kind of clean (except for the AC remote which was yuck, and in the morning I found a bug, which I hope wasn't a bed bug of some sort....) and that the location of the hostel is great.

I found bed bugs in my bed. I got covered by bites and ruined my whole night. They offered me another bed I couldn't stay. I had to change my tickets back home It cost me a lot. Stayed up the whole night.

Good atmosphere and location, friendly staff. Travelers beware, I saw a couple of bed bugs in my 4-person room on the 1st floor. The staff was responsive when I informed them.

my boyfriend and I got separated into separate rooms despite booking 2 beds together in the same room. The staff did not inform us of this until we had gotten up to one of the rooms. They didn’t tell us I was put into a male room while my boyfriend was put into a girl room. Obviously, we switched upon figuring this out. Second, BOTH of our roommates (in separate rooms) had bed bugs. The staff did not inform anyone else in the room even though bed bugs can crawl. We received no apology.

We were a little disappointed in this hostel since we had high expectations (ratings were good and it was also quite expensive compared to others). Unfortunately, though, the atmosphere wasn't that good, the staff was nice but didn't really make any effort to include everyone in social activities in the evenings (which I'd expect from a 'party hostel')and the pub crawl was kind of a scam since the 'open bar' at the hostel consisted in only 3 choices of pre-made drinks (that had close to zero alcohol) and the bars we went to weren't that great. Also, I'm pretty sure I got bed bugs because when I left I was covered with red stings. Bathrooms were clean though.

Please keep in mind THIS IS A PARTY HOSTEL. meaning that i got bit by bed bugs and the whole place was so nasty. Showers were ok but the toilets were disgusting. The bar is not a real bar either, it seems to be a side are where they have a fridge and some liquor as well. I was told that the pub crawl was fun but I didn’t go on it, you are close enough to city center that going on a €20 pub crawl is somewhat a waste of money. Very sociable but very nasty and loud. Also slightly expensive for the location and

If you feel like getting sucked private in your room come here you get it for free. You just have to lay down and enjoy. BED BUGS come and suck you. Incredible feeling!! and that for FREE! Can you imagine? Greatest deal you still feel it days after! BEST EXPERIENCE EVER!! At least I got my money back.

Let's start with: I got bitten by bed bugs. Cleaning is inexistent. There were the same old shoes, socks and a rasta in the hallway floor the whole time I stayed. Not acceptable. Very sketchy environment.

Lovely hostel with a wonderful atmosphere. The best part is the staff, who are amazing. My stay was unfortunately slightly dampened because of bedbugs.

Did I enjoy my time at this hostel? YES! Great atmosphere, friendly staff and fun pub crawls. BUT there were BED BUGS in my bed (Room12, bed 14). Now I have bites all over my body, quit my journey early (didn't want to distribute the bugs any further), and have to freeze all my stuff. There have already been some reviews about the bugs on booking, So since you know about them: DON'T LET PEOPLE SLEEP IN THE BEDS AND ROOMS WITH BUGS! That can ruin people's travel plans, just like it did with mine

Absolutely awful stay. Was there for only a night and multiple people in my room, including myself, woke up in the middle of the night with bed bugs and were moved. The staff moved only the ones with bed bugs to another room which also had bed bugs. They did not say sorry or anything, rather just said we can wash your clothes free of charge if you want. They promised a refund, but I have called them 3 times and they keep pushing it off. 3 weeks later and still no refund. 0/10 never stay here.

The social side of things is definitely the selling point of this this hostel, as everyone (guests and staff) seems super keen to chat, make friends and to go out - I got asked whether I wanted to play beer pong about 5 minutes into arriving😂 The rooms were what you’d expect from a hostel, and the bathroom was fairly modern and nice. I definitely would have recommended this hostel, but my stay was unfortunately tarnished by finding bed bugs in my bag after leaving so I’d personally be wary of booking until this is sorted.

Incredible atmosphere here - the social is brilliant with karaoke, beer pong and pub crawls pretty much every night. Bar man Max is a hero and Charlie organises the crawl. Staff are all amazing and the facilities are great - awesome showers and bathrooms, loads of plugs in the room and lockers. Only downside is cleanliness as others in my room reported finding bed bugs after staying - I haven’t found any but this needs to be checked out! Great hostel and would recommend.

The atmosphere in this place in the evening is amazing, and the staff also really chilled and nice. Sadly the dorms and bathrooms seemed to be quite neglected and have serious issues with cleanliness. The shower tap fell nearly off the wall and the floor was just never clean. Same with the beds, nothing really fitted together, there were holes and dirt everywhere and my pillow was also quite filthy. On top of that my roommate told me he has found bedbugs on his bed…

I got bed bugs here! Staff acted pretty childish. One of the girls showed up drunk to her shift and was coughing the whole time she was making breakfast. Showers flooded often and beds were super creaky. Normally I don't expect the best facilities from a party hostel but this was atrocious.

We had a lot of fun here and met some very nice people. There were many social activities and the hostel was in general just very social - when you step in, you get directly into a common room, Where people hang out in sofas and chat:) The cleanliness and beds could have been better - I got bed bugs here… Luckily, They didn’t get into my stuff, so I got rid of them after 1 week - but still annoying and unhygienic…
