After staying for 4 days, I decided to extend my stay and was moved to a different room. After just one night there, I woke up with more than 20 bed bug bites on my body. That completely ruined all the positive impressions I had of this place.

I wouldn’t stay here again…whilst it’s not the staffs fault at all, I found 4 bed bugs in my bed right before going to sleep, and I wasn’t offered much of a solution…it was a friday night so everywhere was booked. They managed to move me to a different room which I checked very thoroughly and found nothing. The staff were very sweet but this wasn’t the best hostel I stayed in - showers weren’t very good and the toilet paper always seemed like it was out.

The hostel is generally unclean and the facilities are lackluster, then I woke up with bed bug bites. It wasnt just me my friend and I stayed and the first night I woke up with bites and the next him, ive been to 25 countries staying in hostels and this has never happened. The staff are very nice but unfortunately could not recommend due to the cleanliness

Amazing location and really friendly receptionists. Their reception is open 24h and that’s a good service. The breakfast wasn’t something special but just cheap and classic. Overall a good experience and their pub crawl was worth it. My friend maybe experienced bedbugs in her but we are not quite sure.

Unfortunately our stay at Purple Nest was ruined by the fact that there is ACTUALLY no air conditioning, despite them claiming they do. I know it may not seem like a big deal but there is literally no air flow in the dorms or bathrooms which means you are guaranteed to be drenched in your own sweat 24/7. If there is no air conditioning/air conditioning isn’t working, or it is too much of a cost to the hostel, then be honest with your guests and USE FANS. When we had asks the staff to please turn the aircon on for our room, they would always say they had but really, it never got turned on! One night when my friend and I had already asked to have the aircon turned on and we were told that it was, we checked the room 30 mins later and it was still disgustingly hot. So we went back downstairs to ask again and to mention we had already asked for it to be turned on, and one of the male staff was extremely rude. Me and everyone else in my room could not get a good nights sleep with the unbearable heat/mugginess in the room. Also, to top this off, I woke up with bed bug bites all over my body. Disgusting. The place was very sloppily cleaned. This is extremely disappointing as when you first arrive, it seems like a decent hostel but as the nights went by, we realised otherwise.

Le Purple Nest Hostel Valencia est principalement une plate-forme de crash centrale: proche du centre historique, du métro de Colón, des liaisons de bus, de l'accès à vélo, des jardins et des sites touristiques de la ville. Il peut fonctionner pour un court arrêt à Valence quand l'emplacement compte plus que le confort, le polissage ou les chances de dormir. L'auberge dispose d'un espace de coworking, d'une grande cuisine, d'un petit-déjeuner, d'activités organisées et de pièces pratiques occasionnelles comme des parasols et des chaises de plage. L'énergie du personnel semble inégale: une partie de l'aide à la réception est chaleureuse et utile, tandis que le service peut aussi sembler désorganisé, lent ou émotif. Les faiblesses ne sont pas subtiles. La nuit, le bruit se répand dans les halls et les salles, les heures de calme peuvent ne pas tenir, et de grands groupes de jeunes peuvent faire tourner tout le bâtiment en mode chaos. Les lits sont un sujet de douleur récurrent, en particulier les lits en métal, les matelas minces, les échelles maladroites et les rideaux qui ne couvrent qu'une partie du lit. Le confort d'été est risqué. La climatisation peut être contrôlée depuis la réception, éteinte, faible ou non fonctionnelle dans les chambres, et les chambres chaudes peuvent rendre le sommeil difficile. La propreté est également incohérente, avec des plaintes autour des salles de bains, des cuisines, des sols, des ravageurs, du papier manquant ou du gel de douche, et occasionnellement de graves problèmes de lit ou de draps.
