Hostel Utopia

OMG. I don’t usually leave reviews, but I have to for this place. I even had to hunt down the review section to write this. There are serious bed bug issues. Both of us are now dealing with bites. When we first entered the room, the mattress and sheets looked suspicious, and by the end of our 2-night stay, we had countless bed bug bites. The hygiene is extremely poor. The toilet is freezing, the room feels cold, and everything just seems unclean. On the bed, we noticed hairs and dust, and in the bathroom, the shower was leaking and the air conditioner barely worked, making it impossible to sleep properly. (i thought it's only me couldn't sleep then my friend couldn't sleep either) The area around the hostel is also concerning. There were people using drugs nearby(which is fine kind of), and the smell of pee mixed with weed was strong during our stay. Overall, I had lesson of there's reason for the price from this experience, and it's tough.

The bed had bedbugs and I git severely bitten. After I reported to the staff I got another room, no questions asked but I still have the itchy marks to this day.

Me fui con unas picaduras de chinches increíbles. Parecía limpio, pero definitivamente no fue así. La ventana que da a la Avenida principal no permitía cerrarse, por lo cual, el olor a marihuana del coffe shop que está debajo y el ruido de la calle fueron complicados.

Absolutely do NOT stay here - especially if you're a young woman! This place is terrifying. I'm a 19 year old woman interrailing with friends, and this was the most unsafe, disgusting hostel we've ever encountered. The bedsheets had stains, pubic hair, and BED BUGS. When we asked for clean ones, we got more dirty sheets. Worse-an older man followed us to our room and forced his way into the building. We had to lock ourselves in and hide. The place felt like a brothel, with random men and sex workers coming and going. This is NOT safe, NOT clean, and absolutely NOT for solo female travelers or groups of girls. Avoid at all costs. We ended up leaving and not staying there as it was all very sketchy and unsafe. Better to be safe than sorry !!!! After making them aware of this by going into reception which is in a different building let me make clear , they rolled their eyes and we’re not surprised what’s so ever. After emailing them and contacting them via booking.com we still have not received an apology.

Bed bugs in room 7 had to climb 3 sets of winding stairs 6 times has phone not answered .bitten all over would not recommend

family (private) room is Positioned just above the "coffee shop" the room facing the road always have the weed smell. The toilet hot water supply intermittent. Room beds with bed bugs. Unable to enter since the small entrance is crowded with the "coffee shop smokers" If you are with some family members and non weed smoker, DON'T GO!!!!

No star from me. Here is why... I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights with 2 other friends, we got a separate 3 single bedroom, price was a bit high, but we didn't mind it as we had our own space. The only annoying thing after the first night was that I started getting very itchy and annoying spots on my body. One of my other friend started getting them too. We searched around the room to see if there was any mosquito's around but I couldn't see any! Which leave it down to bed bugs!! Now that I am back home (England) even after few days the red itchy marks. I have around 20+ that I could find all over my body. The reason for the bad review is so the business can improve on these issues and make their business better and also help other people decide where is the best place to stay
