I stayed at a&o Wien Hauptbahnhof on the night of 3rd August 2025 and was horrified to find myself covered in bed bug bites within an hour of checking in. Multiple live bed bugs were crawling on my body, bed, and floor. I have photographic evidence and reported the incident immediately. The night receptionist, Mr. Konstantinos, was visibly alarmed. His exact words were, “Someone could die from this.” He relocated me to another room and acknowledged the severity of the situation. However, what followed was even more shocking: a&o’s senior management completely ignored the seriousness of this health hazard. Despite escalating the issue to: Oliver Winter (Managing Director) Phillip Winter (Management) Donjeta Berisha (Customer Service) Hendrik (Customer Care Manager) Thomas Hertkorn, Arben Maliqi, Sven Drave, Michael Muecke, Bence Kovacs, Shanky Gondal, and others via multiple emails and formal complaints… …I received only a dismissive response and my formal request for fair compensation was ignored. No apology. No responsibility. No action to ensure guest safety.

I recently stayed at A&O Hostel Hauptbahnhof, and my experience was deeply disappointing and distressing. The most serious issue was the bedbug infestation in my room. I woke up covered in bites, which led to a painful allergic reaction requiring medical attention. To make matters worse, when I and other guests reported the problem to the staff, they did nothing to address the situation. No cleaning, no room changes, no apologies—just complete indifference. I even witnessed other guests leaving the hostel early because of the bedbug issue, and the staff didn’t seem to care at all. This level of neglect is absolutely unacceptable, especially when it comes to health and hygiene. I strongly advise anyone considering this hostel to look elsewhere unless you’re willing to risk dealing with bedbugs and unresponsive staff. Avoid this place at all costs.

Lot of bedbugs and ants in the room and staff refuses to do something about that. Bathroom wasn't cleaned (hair in the sink, toilett wasn't flushed and someone cut their nails there and didn't throw them in the trash. Pretty disgusting and unsanitary!!. Wifi worked fine and the one clerk at the front desk was kinda friendly. Food is alrighr but the kitchen staff should pay attention to cleaniness since some plates were still dirty and there were multiple hairs in the food.
