   Wow! What a dump! This place is falling apart. The best thing on the property is the center area with chairs, picnic tables and hammocks. The floors are 1/2" plywood that sag when you step, even with the layer of linoleum they have rolled on top to keep people from falling through.. The private room we stayed in is an upstairs with private ensuite. The bed is well-used, you get 2 pillows and one sheet. There is one fan. Half of the room is empty. No tables, no chairs, just a bed. No towels in the bathroom. Shower floor looks uncleaned for years, don't forget flipflops for the shower. Screen door that has holes all the way around it. Padlock is how you lock your door. Moodlighting is with a ceiling flourescent tube rated for "daylight" lighting. Two chicken brooding lights beside the bed, one missing the bulb. Oh, when golf carts drive by the building, they whole building shakes. Half the pictures on Google Maps for this place are NOT for this place. There is only one great thing about Tropical Oasis, you are within a few blocks of everything you want to do here. Oh, some more negatives we found after the first night. No drinking water provided. No hot water in the shower. No towels provided, but you can rent them for $5 each. No lockable doors while you are inside the room. Walls are paper thin, so you can you can hear your neighbor vomiting up last nights drinks. People walking up the stairs also shakes the building. Frankly, the place is a death trap. We left after the first night of our four night reservation and they did return two of our four night cost. Definitely the worst Hostel I have ever stayed at, anywhere on this planet in my entire life.

   I left my clothes in the room when I checked out and I was gone 3 hours, yet when I came back my clothes were gone. The hostel worker was rude and unhelpful and all he had to say was it must have been stolen.

   Hostel had very poor security. Easy to enter rooms off street. Cleanliness was poor and there was no hot water.

   • One of staff was unprofessional and yelled at us, threatened to call the police and to throw us out.

   Not safe, u can just walk into the property, and the dorm. One of staff was unprofessional and yelled at us, threatened to call the police and to throw us out. Was so unprofessional that the rest of the staff told her to walk away and told us that we were ofcourse welcome to stay. Also this staffmember is targeting and acts unfriendly towards locals.

   • we couldn’t lock this room. whoever wanted to enter, they could, same as entering the property itself. so there were some people staying outside of the dorm in the property just casually going into our room, which didn’t feel really comfortable when you have all your belongings there. especially when it’s an old drunk guy who for example casually took a sheet of a girl that i was staying in the dorm with.

   i’m kind of sad to write this review because the owner of this places is a really nice guy but to be honest, these are the things that i’d like to know before coming there. i was staying in a shared dorm and the main thing that bothered me was that we couldn’t lock this room. whoever wanted to enter, they could, same as entering the property itself. so there were some people staying outside of the dorm in the property just casually going into our room, which didn’t feel really comfortable when you have all your belongings there. especially when it’s an old drunk guy who for example casually took a sheet of a girl that i was staying in the dorm with. otherwise this place isn’t of course nothing luxurious but it’s pretty much clean (except for a constant poop stain in the shared toilets) and pretty social. the location is great as well but there are still some things that need to be worked on. i wish the owner the best ❤️

   Didn’t feel great at this hostel because the dorm had no lock on the door and anyone can walk into the premises or dorms, and the locker provided is very small. The staff are around but always with local friends socialising. There is no atmosphere or attempt to socialise people. Very basic but does the job for a few days on the island

   Nice place, we stayed several days, nice staff. The only negative note that during the stay cash money 125 euros was taken from my wallet in the room. It is better not to leave personal items unattended

   I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the location; it boasts affordability and comfort. However, I must note a concerning aspect: its lack of security. One night, we discovered the door to our private shed ajar, and an unfamiliar individual had wandered onto the premises. With the premises being perpetually unlocked, it poses a risk of theft and intrusion.

   Really liked my stay here. Lovely hostel owned by a cute family and good vibes! The outside kitchen is well equipped and big. There is one thing I really hated and I have to mention it, there is a cat running around and we saw the owner of the hostel (violently) grab the cat and throw her out on the street..

    The rooms has no lock, anyone can just walk in from the street. The lockers are super tiny so I couldn’t fit my laptop. Which meant during my 4 days here I had to carry around my laptop at all times. I wanted to stay at the other hostel - Bellas. But they were full. I would recommend Bellas over this any time. Same price, much nicer place. I was there visited. What a great hostel. This place is okey, but if you want to meet people, stay at Bellas.
