   Wow! What a dump! This place is falling apart. The best thing on the property is the center area with chairs, picnic tables and hammocks. The floors are 1/2" plywood that sag when you step, even with the layer of linoleum they have rolled on top to keep people from falling through.. The private room we stayed in is an upstairs with private ensuite. The bed is well-used, you get 2 pillows and one sheet. There is one fan. Half of the room is empty. No tables, no chairs, just a bed. No towels in the bathroom. Shower floor looks uncleaned for years, don't forget flipflops for the shower. Screen door that has holes all the way around it. Padlock is how you lock your door. Moodlighting is with a ceiling flourescent tube rated for "daylight" lighting. Two chicken brooding lights beside the bed, one missing the bulb. Oh, when golf carts drive by the building, they whole building shakes. Half the pictures on Google Maps for this place are NOT for this place. There is only one great thing about Tropical Oasis, you are within a few blocks of everything you want to do here. Oh, some more negatives we found after the first night. No drinking water provided. No hot water in the shower. No towels provided, but you can rent them for $5 each. No lockable doors while you are inside the room. Walls are paper thin, so you can you can hear your neighbor vomiting up last nights drinks. People walking up the stairs also shakes the building. Frankly, the place is a death trap. We left after the first night of our four night reservation and they did return two of our four night cost. Definitely the worst Hostel I have ever stayed at, anywhere on this planet in my entire life.

   • we couldn’t lock this room. whoever wanted to enter, they could, same as entering the property itself. so there were some people staying outside of the dorm in the property just casually going into our room, which didn’t feel really comfortable when you have all your belongings there. especially when it’s an old drunk guy who for example casually took a sheet of a girl that i was staying in the dorm with.

   i’m kind of sad to write this review because the owner of this places is a really nice guy but to be honest, these are the things that i’d like to know before coming there. i was staying in a shared dorm and the main thing that bothered me was that we couldn’t lock this room. whoever wanted to enter, they could, same as entering the property itself. so there were some people staying outside of the dorm in the property just casually going into our room, which didn’t feel really comfortable when you have all your belongings there. especially when it’s an old drunk guy who for example casually took a sheet of a girl that i was staying in the dorm with. otherwise this place isn’t of course nothing luxurious but it’s pretty much clean (except for a constant poop stain in the shared toilets) and pretty social. the location is great as well but there are still some things that need to be worked on. i wish the owner the best ❤️
