She entered our room with a hostile attitude to force us out, even though we were already ready to check out and only needed to take our suitcases downstairs. This behavior did not happen just once; the harassment continued until we finally left the hostel.

   When we arrived at the hostel, there was no running water. However, as we were on vacation and tried to remain understanding, we did not make an issue of it and used another bathroom in the area. Unfortunately, that good attitude was only on our side. I strongly believe you should review who you have working in hospitality roles, as politeness, respect, and good customer service are essential in this industry. During check-out, an older female staff member — whose name I do not know, and who may have been part of reception or housekeeping — treated us in a very aggressive and disrespectful manner. She entered our room with a hostile attitude to force us out, even though we were already ready to check out and only needed to take our suitcases downstairs. This behavior did not happen just once; the harassment continued until we finally left the hostel. I was genuinely shocked by the level of aggression, including her body language. This situation completely overshadowed all the positive aspects the hostel may have had. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and that you review the performance of your customer service staff, so future guests do not have to go through a similar experience.

   wouldn’t stay here again. Had some of my stuff stolen from the bathroom (toiletries etc) which was a shame as it seemed a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, rooms were clean ish but the property as a whole didn’t feel clean considering the price of staying. Staff are all friendly, hostel doesn’t have a social vibe though.

   The apartment style accomodation was nice however there was no locks to get into the apartment so anyone was walking in and cooking. People also didn’t lock the room door and there are no lockers so belongings felt extremely unsafe.

   A relatively pleasant stay, staff really friendly overall however it lacked compared to other hostels. Door was a physical key entry and one of the roommates kept leaving the door unlocked and open breaching the security. Said roommate also had a box of the ‘green stuff’ which made the room smell bad and lots of travellers also smoking it throughout the complex. Kitchen and facilities unkept which made me not want to cook in the dorm. Highlight was the people, met a great group of girls!

   The vibe of the current long-term residents is very odd and not welcoming at all. It is very far away from the areas you want to be in as a backpacker in my opinion. There are no lockers and someone walked into our locked room our first morning there- so the locks are very weak. Additionally the WIFI does NOT reach the bedrooms. The showers are nice though.

   We stayed here during the cyclone and the staff couldnt have done enough to help us - they let us rebook the room day by day as everyones plans kept changing. only downside is that somebody stole our food out the fridge during the night - dont think the owners were to blame but unfortunate for us

   free surfboards and outside communal area was great. loved the concept of separate kitchens because it felt like being in a mini apartment. only downside was that anyone can really wander in and sometimes your food goes missing. also the bedroom doors didn’t lock from the outside and there were no lockers.

   WORST place I’ve ever stayed. No lockers, no-one locks their doors and everyone has use of each apts kitchen/bathroom so random people walking in at all hours that could take your things. Air con is on a timer that can’t be changed so rooms are too hot to sleep. One double socket between 5 people so some need to charge phones in kitchens that aren’t lockable. Can’t do laundry between 8am-12pm because of staff using it. Smoking is permitted so everything smells of smoke and also damp.

   Great little place to stay, having 10 people use the bathroom & kitchen was nice to be able to meet people. the place was clean for the most part, facilities were good too. howevet, the door did not lock and there were no safes in the room. although we felt safe the whole time.

    I had a fab stay here. Location is great. 1 bus away from town centre. It was very homey & peaceful. I met such wonderful travellers at the hostel. We went to the national park together, beach, city centre, evening meals/movies. I definitely recommend staying here, especially because you can walk to the national park and nearby beach which is more quieter than the main one. Security wise, not so confident as doors left open & anyone can come in. & bathroom only 1 on the block. But overall great!
