Sinag Hostel

I’m sorry but this was among my least favorite hostels after 2 months traveling Asia. I ended up leaving early. Here’s why: - There are 4-5 super aggressive dogs in this hostel who love to bark like mad at literally anything all the way up to 3AM each night even with ear plugs you will not sleep. - This was the least comfortable bed of my whole trip. - Zero social atmosphere. - No hot water, wifi in the rooms or even toilet paper (?!).

The staff seemed nice but the rooms might as well have been a 60 bed dorm as you could hear everything through the walls including someone having sex the entire night next door as well as someone in my room. Woke up at 7 am even though I was wearing ear plugs as mentioned the walls don’t exist and you can hear everything from the hostel and other rooms. Could be a good place for being social and partying but expect 0 sleep and strange noises at night:/😂

I stayed in a private room, it was quite small, couldn't open my luggage and everything is old as I saw a lot of rust in the faucet. The shower didn't work properly for the first 2 days and in the last day it didn't work. I had to shower in the common showers, which were quite dirty. Also, there was a day where there was no running water, they said it was because there was a draught but other places had water. The location is good, but for the price I paid, I could have gotten better places.

Cleanliness definitely not their strength. There is an anxious dog, with a "do not pet me" collar, and the staff tells you -of course- not to pet him, but is not on a leash, which is a bit incoherent to be honest.

Read the reviews and expected a very nice stay. What we experienced was below average. Staff was rarely available. The ensuite shower literally never worked and the water pressure from the regular showers was so low that they were barely usable too.

We Are two couples and booked the 4 Person privat Room. To be honest, everything was just fine. But nothing special. We didn’t like the bathroom, it was always wet from the shower and the toilet didn’t smell nice. Beds were fine and clean. People and staff were nice. In total it was okay and we didn’t have any big inconveniences during our stay. But it’s not worth a review over 9.0 in our opinion. But we would recommend staying there to everyone, with 7.7 it’s a decent hostel:)

Positives: staff are amazing, so friendly. Cafe in front is great. Room was comfy. Hostel itself is very nice, its well renovated, nice vibe and they make an effort to create a good connection between the people staying. Negatives: super noisy. Not in the hostel’s control but our neighbor was having sex until 4am and making noise non stop, the walls aren’t really walls so you can hear everything. The windows also have no insulation, so you hear everything outside like its in your room.

The personal was kind. This is a small hostel with a family vibe. Nevertheless, other guests were not too open to talk and meet new people. I don’t think it was the right hostel for me as a solo traveler. Also the bathroom from my room wasn’t clean.

Pretty basic rooms but did the job, was in dorm with en-suite and bathroom was v small and if anyone showered the whole room was soaking. Seemed like a decent vibe in the evening. Only major complaint was the dogs barking loudly in middle of night.

Amazing stay! Huge thanks to Jessica from reception for being so helpful and welcoming. Also the restaurant next to the hostel is a must visit because of Peter, he is the most smiling person on the planet and always makes your day! Good beds, great beach location, and awesome vibes. Highly recommend ☺️

I chose this hostel because it was the only one I found with a non aircon room and that’s why I stayed. Not really clean, not really social (Wednesday night is family dinner which is nice but the other activities were cancelled) and workers are nice but not so friendly because they are volunteers. Also full of cockroaches… Surf lessons with them were good.

I loved this hostel so much that I ended up staying for a month. It feels like a little family and I couldn’t be happier that I got to be part of it. Thank you Sinag

Sinag is SO great. Everyone staying here is super friendly and the vibe is very chill and perfect for those who want to surf during the day. I ended up staying here way longer than originally planned. WiFi was patchy which was the only real let down, but great value for money comparedto the other hostels nearby.

This hostel feels like family 🤍

Really great hostel. Everybody there is so nice and helpful and its really easy to talk with people. Rooms are spacious and the kitchen equipment is pretty good for a hostel. Would definitely stay there again!

It's a really lovely community. I love family dinners every Wednesday. There are so many activities organized, like surfing and sunsets and surf skating. The kitchen is good and the rooms are clean. Everyone is so friendly and it feels like one big family

At Sinag you find family

I had such a wonderful time at Sinag Hostel in Siargao. The atmosphere is super warm and welcoming you instantly feel at home. The staff are incredibly kind, always smiling, and happy to help with anything from surf spots to scooter rentals or other recommendations. It’s the perfect balance: easy to meet new people, but also peaceful enough to unwind after a long day of surfing or exploring the island. (The food in the Snackbar in front is the best I ever had!!!!)

Loved my time at Sinag! Extended my stay as everyone else who stays there seems to do. Such a nice family feel to it and felt very looked after and safe. Will definitely be coming back :)

I had such an amazing and heartwarming stay at Sinag. The moment I checked in, I already made friends with fellow travelers and the hostel’s staff and volunteers. The community they’ve built here is unreal. I was stuck in the island during the typhoon and the warmth of the people at Sinag was so comforting and reassuring. I love it here and it now has a special place in my heart and this will now definitely be my go-to when I visit the island again!

This is *the* place to stay in Siargao, the community is wonderful and welcoming and you’ll have lots of friends to surf with right away! Location is great, clean and organized, helpful staff, and vibes can’t be beat

Exceptional stay, everyone at the hostel are very welcoming and always go above and beyond with their service.

Un très bon hostel à Siargao , avec une équipe très aidante et des évènements sociaux certains soirs de semaine. J'ai pris une chambre privative, on y est très bien, il y a l'air conditionné et le tarif était très raisonnable comparé à d'autres endroits similaires à Siargao. Enfin, ils louent des scooters directement sur place et vous recharge même votre carte sim via Gcash.

Great location at the top of Tourismo Rd. Walking distance to cloud nine beach and cafes. Fantastic friendly staff. Nice and social- proper surfrr hangout. Only catch- place is dated, not super clean.. Private room past it's best, bathroom was pretty miserable
