Aloha Hostel Siargao

Do not stay at this hostel! They have not updated their photos so it is a completely different building and experience than the photos on hostel world. The rooms are dirty, covered in flies and nothing as described. It is a great location but we checked out early as it is an entirely different building than listed here.

This hostel just literally did not exist and I needed to find another accommodation on the spot. apparently it burned down a while ago but there was nobody to assist me and I didn’t get back my money from hostel world or the hostel itself

I would not reccomend staying here. The bunk beds are creaky, there were only two lockers in the dorm I was in, and the paper thin walls made it nearly impossible to sleep. On top of that, the bathroom area is extremely basic, not big enough for everyone in the hostel, and constantly wet, making it hard to use without getting your shorts and toiletry bag soaked. The owner helped me book a few things, which was nice, but I'm sure there are much better hostels in this area.

Very basic hostel, a little dirty and the four bed mixed dorm was super tiny and only had 3 beds. We don’t mind basic but the room wasn’t big enough to fit more than two people in it. No storage for bags and owner unlocked our door without knocking properly whilst I was getting changed so not great. We moved to a nearby accommodation and staff didn’t ask why or how our stay was. Disappointing :(

We chose this hostel for its location. However this, the aircon and the hot water are the only good things. The room is dirty, smelly, noisy, and gives no intimacy. The water from the bathroom smells really bad, and we faced an invasion of insects (cockroach, centipede etc.). Wifi is poorly working. The staff is not really helpful and the atmosphere not really welcoming.

The hostel only has the basics. Make sure to book a room with AC, because you can’t survive in the rooms without it. We had to change room… The wifi is really bad, the location is good tho. Many shops and restaurants are around. The hostel is 0% social, so if you want to need new people, don’t stay here. It is fine for only sleeping but not more. The staff seems super annoyed every time you talk to them.

Went here because I wanted a private room and it was the cheapest, and you get what you paid for, which is not me complaining. I was content with my room as I had working ac, my own bed and my own bathroom. So if you’re like me then I’m sure you’ll be happy.

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour à Aloha Hostel. La famille qui tient l'auberge nous a très chaleureusement accueillies. Mention spéciale à Hana, toujours souriante et disponible ! Très bon rapport qualité/prix.

if you want to sleep well, choose somewhere else as the walls are so thin and you can hear every conversation and movement of the other guests, also the street is super loud, however it’s cheap and in an ideal location

Went here because I wanted a private room and it was the cheapest, and you get what you paid for, which is not me complaining. I was content with my room as I had working ac, my own bed and my own bathroom. So if you’re like me then I’m sure you’ll be happy.

Great location, in the middle of tourist road. Shops, cafes, bars and restaurants is just outside. Beach is just across the street and little walk away.

Was good for the price Not the best but if you want just a place to sleep this is it
