Location is decent (it's near the nightlife) but the old town location would have been better for walking around. The hostel itself is great. It has a cool vibe. They wouldn't let me use my own blanket and pillow and stored them for me (bed bugs?) and I ended up forgetting to ask for them back when I checked out. Also, they charged my card before I even checked in even though I was planning on paying cash. That's a bad policy. Aside from that, it's clean and definitely a good place overall.

Unfortunately, we found a bed bug in our room which I know can happen at hostels. The staff offered for us to clean our clothes free of cost but they did not clean the room, mattresses and would not allow us to change rooms. They were waiting for us to check out before they cleaned it. I had to ask for new bedding and change it myself. Disappointing social activities and rooms got very cold at night with no way to turn up the heating. Good storage space in rooms.

Had high hopes for this hostel. The activities were not good. The drinking games night was just never have I ever and they weren’t even actually getting people involved. The staff was too busy being friends with each other, were rude to guests, they kept making rude jokes to the little guys of the group. On top of that there was this cool festival we all missed out on because of the staff and they were getting just themselves drinks and only communicating with each her. BED BUGS ALERT.

The receptionist are helpful and kind. The mattress is bad and not sure how clean since my body started itching every night during the entire stay. Hopefully no bedbugs!

Not as clean as it could be. Bed bugs! Although the heating was always on the windows didn't close well so it was always cold in the room. Not soundproof at all. And more bed bugs!

Bed bugs!!!! Stay away. I had the body full of insect bites after the night. I showed to the reception, they changed my room and gave my bed to another customer!!! Terrible! This ruined my holiday and the way they handled it was unacceptable. I am sorry for the next guests who will unavoidably have the same experience since they do not take action

Oki Doki Old Town Hostel Warsaw repose sur un très fort emplacement dans la vieille ville, proche de la place du marché, du château, des bus et de la boucle de balade facile dans Varsovie. Le kit pratique d’hostel est réel : rideaux d’intimité sur les lits de dortoir, grands casiers numériques, consigne à bagages, cuisine, espaces communs et un petit bar qui peut rendre la soirée sociale. Le bar et le setup d’activités sont la personnalité principale ici. Karaoké, tours de la vieille ville, petits événements sociaux et autres plans du soir donnent au lieu un pouls de youth hostel, même si l’énergie est inégale : ça peut être vivant et party-ish, ou bizarrement calme et difficile à intégrer. Ça convient mieux comme base bon marché, centrale et sociale que comme séjour poli. Les chambres varient beaucoup. Les privées peuvent être assez propres et confortables, et les lits de dortoir peuvent avoir rideaux, lampes et prises, mais le bâtiment a des escaliers peu pratiques, des murs fins, un accès par code de porte tricky par endroits, et des salles de bains partagées qui peuvent être rough. C’est un choix emplacement-et-chaos : utile, central, parfois fun, mais pas un petit labo de sommeil fluide.
Signaux à vérifier
- La propreté est irrégulière, avec des problèmes récurrents autour des salles de bains, sols, literie, odeurs, mouches, et soucis de punaises de lit ou puces.
- Le bruit peut être un gros problème depuis le bar, les couloirs, chambres voisines, fêtes tardives et murs fins.
- Le staff et les systèmes sont parfois peu fiables, dont check-in lent, erreurs de réservation, problèmes de carte-clé, retards de caution et aide faible quand quelque chose tourne mal.
- Les serviettes ou gel douche peuvent ne pas être fournis, les lits peuvent devoir être faits à l’arrivée, le petit-déjeuner coûte en plus et la lessive peut demander des pièces.
- L’accessibilité est mauvaise : il y a beaucoup d’escaliers, l’accès ascenseur peut ne pas aider ou être hors service, et les chambres aux étages supérieurs peuvent être difficiles avec des bagages.
