Location is decent (it's near the nightlife) but the old town location would have been better for walking around. The hostel itself is great. It has a cool vibe. They wouldn't let me use my own blanket and pillow and stored them for me (bed bugs?) and I ended up forgetting to ask for them back when I checked out. Also, they charged my card before I even checked in even though I was planning on paying cash. That's a bad policy. Aside from that, it's clean and definitely a good place overall.

Unfortunately, we found a bed bug in our room which I know can happen at hostels. The staff offered for us to clean our clothes free of cost but they did not clean the room, mattresses and would not allow us to change rooms. They were waiting for us to check out before they cleaned it. I had to ask for new bedding and change it myself. Disappointing social activities and rooms got very cold at night with no way to turn up the heating. Good storage space in rooms.

Had high hopes for this hostel. The activities were not good. The drinking games night was just never have I ever and they weren’t even actually getting people involved. The staff was too busy being friends with each other, were rude to guests, they kept making rude jokes to the little guys of the group. On top of that there was this cool festival we all missed out on because of the staff and they were getting just themselves drinks and only communicating with each her. BED BUGS ALERT.

The receptionist are helpful and kind. The mattress is bad and not sure how clean since my body started itching every night during the entire stay. Hopefully no bedbugs!

Not as clean as it could be. Bed bugs! Although the heating was always on the windows didn't close well so it was always cold in the room. Not soundproof at all. And more bed bugs!

Bed bugs!!!! Stay away. I had the body full of insect bites after the night. I showed to the reception, they changed my room and gave my bed to another customer!!! Terrible! This ruined my holiday and the way they handled it was unacceptable. I am sorry for the next guests who will unavoidably have the same experience since they do not take action

Vibe Analysis
Oki Doki Old Town Hostel Warsaw is built around a very strong Old Town location, close to the market square, castle, buses, and the easy Warsaw wander loop. The practical hostel kit is real: privacy curtains on dorm beds, large digital lockers, luggage storage, a kitchen, common areas, and a small bar that can turn the night social. The bar and activity setup is the main personality here. Karaoke, old city tours, small social events, and other evening plans give the place a youth-hostel pulse, though the energy is uneven: it can feel lively and party-ish, or oddly quiet and hard to break into. It suits a cheap, central, social base better than a polished stay. Rooms vary a lot. Private rooms can be clean and comfortable enough, and dorm beds may have curtains, lights, and plugs, but the building has awkward stairs, thin walls, tricky door-code access in parts, and shared bathrooms that can be rough. This is a location-and-chaos pick: useful, central, sometimes fun, but not a smooth little sleep lab.
Signals to check
- Cleanliness is inconsistent, with recurring problems around bathrooms, floors, bedding, smells, flies, and bedbug or flea issues.
- Noise can be a serious problem from the bar, corridors, nearby rooms, late-night partying, and thin walls.
- Staff and systems are unreliable at times, including slow check-in, booking mix-ups, key-card problems, deposit delays, and weak help when something goes wrong.
- No towels or shower gel may be provided, beds may need to be made on arrival, breakfast costs extra, and laundry may require coins.
- Accessibility is poor: there are lots of stairs, elevator access may not help or may be out of service, and upper-floor rooms can be hard with luggage.
