Bed bugs were rampant. I got a full refund but there was no sense of urgency in contacting me. They do not have a designated after hour emergency line to call. We were up all night trying to call someone with no where to sleep from 4am until 9am. Then someone finally answered. There are no employees that work on the premises at all. This made it very difficult for check in and the bed bug issue. I would recommend staying somewhere else for an easier experience.

I've been staying at this hostel since the very first days it opened. I'm extremely disappointed because I was bitten by bed bugs during the night. At 1:00 AM, when I turned on the light, I saw a lot of bed bugs—both big and small—all around the bed. Be careful if you are given room number 6. I had to leave the room at 1 AM and sit downstairs by the reception area without any sleep. The next day, I had to steam all my clothes at the laundromat so I wouldn't bring the bugs home with me. Very disappointed. I've stayed here many times, but there were bed bugs back in the spring and now again. I most likely won't be staying at this hostel ever again.

I stayed at this property for a business trip in Brno from August 5th to August 7th, and the sanitary conditions were entirely unacceptable.After returning to my room after midnight, I noted that the room temperature was excessively high. Within 15 minutes of trying to rest, I felt movement on my skin. Upon turning on my flashlight, I discovered a severe, active bedbug infestation. Live insects were swarming across the bedding, the pillow, the walls, my clothing, and my body. I immediately took photographic evidence of the pests.Due to the extreme health hazard, I had to shower immediately to wash the insects off myself. The contamination was so severe that I had to completely discard a t-shirt. I spent the next hour shaking out my remaining belongings, sealing them airtight in plastic bags, and evacuating the property in the middle of the night.At 2:00 AM, I was forced to seek emergency alternative lodging, paying 2,440 CZK out of pocket at the Grand Hotel Brno just to secure a safe environment. The following morning, I had to expend an additional 200 CZK at a laundromat and incur extra transportation costs to sanitize all my luggage and clothing to prevent bringing the infestation home.Furthermore, by the morning of August 6th, my body erupted in extensive, painful red welts and skin reactions across my forearms, upper arms, legs, and shoulders (which I have also fully photographed). This establishment failed to provide a safe, habitable, or hygienic environment, causing me severe physical discomfort, a disrupted business schedule, and significant unexpected expenses. Management must urgently conduct professional pest control. I strongly advise all travelers to avoid this property. Bed bugs

bed bugs！ I stayed at this hostel for four nights. On my first day here, I found fleas and bed bugs on my bed. I got bitten all over my body during the night, covered in extremely itchy bumps. The next morning, I asked the host if they had any insect spray, but they said they didn’t have any at all. I had to go out and buy a bottle of bug spray by myself. For the following three nights, I sprayed my bed thoroughly before sleeping every day, and luckily I didn’t get bitte

The room was clean, enough space I found a bed bug on my blanket that drastically affected my impression of staying at the hostel, besides there was not a single person I could ask help from or inform about leaking shower that was impossible to turn off completely. Besides I had an issue with opening safe locker over my bed and got no reply after writing to hostel support

it was close to the central station it was dirty, the bathrooms were full of hair, mildew and there were bedbugs. Also, I paid 230€ for 5 nights, trust me, it’s not worth it.

We stayed in March. The rooms looked clean but I noticed old reviews about bed bugs too late when we were already there. I checked and didn’t find any sings of new infestations but still it was not a pleasant stay and I have been overthinking about bed bugs for month and a half now and became paranoid and insomniac. Now I see new review of bed bugs from May. Wouldn’t recommend this hostel there is no staff and vibes were very spooky.

The rooms themselves are nice and high siling. First floor it was also very quiet and you can turn on heating and it works. There is space for 4 people and their luggage and some extra sitting space. No lock in the bathroom and toilet! The cleaners check if it's taken, and don't knock, just enter in...if its other hostel guests, I get it, but the workers should know to knock. The cleaning lady came at 10.20 already to clean the sheets even though the check out is at 11. There is no sight of bedbugs in women's 4p room. But something did bit me. Water in the shower got warm after a loooong while. It was warm, but the shower itself...on the verge of disgusting so flipflips are a must. See the photos for yourself. Nothing there except water. Not a tea bag in sight. If you want to spend your time nicely it is not the place. This is just for survival.

Just before goin to sleep I killed a BEDBUG on the wall, so nothing pleasant. Vibe is like in a mortuary, but peaceful if you wanna just rest and sleep. I had a few of guys working in the city and living in the Hostel in my dorms so it's not very traveler oriented I'd say. No stuff is present.

Blízko k nádraží i tramvaji Není v hlučné části města Štěnice (viz foto). Bedbugs (7.12.2025). Na posteli byly min. 3 dospělé štěnice, viz foto. Nepřivezla jsem nic domů, protoze jsem měla všechno v uzaviratelných skříňkách, ale dost me pokousali (viz foto), a i tyden po pobytu mam zarudle stipance na rukou. Ubytování jsem dala hned vědět, dostala jsem 50% z ceny zpět + 20% slevu na další pobyt (po 4 telefonátech), a ubytování mě informovalo, že ke dni 8.12. 2025 začalo štěnice řešit, víc informací nemám. Nefunkční sprcha, opadající omítka Zahraniční hosté dělali hluk, rozsvíceli brzy ráno. V hostelu chybí intrukce, například "Please be quiet after 10pm". Také si hosté nosili jídlo na pokoj.

The only positive aspect of this is its location – 5 minutes from railway station and bus station – 10 minutes from city center – here all the positive aspects of this hostel ends. There is only online reception – they send you online check in form only 24 hour prior to your arrival – so when you travel you will end up filling in it up in front of the locked doors on a sidewalk – thankfully it wasn’t raining. BUT THE BIGGEST PROBLEM OF THIS HOSTEL WERE THE BED BUGS – I WOKE UP WITH BED BUG BITES ALL OVER MY FACE – THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE ! ! ! ! ! ! ! BTW - Pictures on the booking.com definately doesn’t represent the actual state of this hostel.

Location right near the train and bus station Unfortunately there was bed bugs in my room, I noticed around 11pm when going to sleep. This can happen anywhere but there was no one available to contact about this as it’s a staff less hostel, so I had to sleep in the bathroom floor that night. The hostel was very understanding and gave me a full refund and did apologise however. Hopefully they’ve sorted out the bed bugs but always check your beds people!

It was infested by bed bugs. Literally dozens of bedbugs happily walking at the beddings. Unfortunately I noticed it too late and so my stuff, clothes and skin were invaded by them. I cancelled my booking immediately and needed to find a new place, they haven't returned me money even after I wrote them multiple times with a photo proofs.

Work up with bites of bed bugs or similar

Владелец хостела типичный жулик- не возвращает деньги за проживание, и отказывается платить компенсацию за причинённый ущерб. Единственный кому подойдёт этот хостел это бомжам или наркоманам которые и так с клопами живут на вокзале. The hostel is infested with bedbugs, a whole colony. It's the worst hostel in the world, in 94 countries and seven years of travel. The bedbug bites itch and cause blisters on your body. The hostel owner is a typical crook – he won't refund your stay or pay compensation for damages. The only people who would want to stay in this hostel are homeless people or narcomaniacs who already live in the train station

Everything was great, ammenities and all, until I noticed the bed bugs on the walls. Bed bugs! On the walls and bedding. Only noticed in the morning, sadly.

Nothing There was bedbugs and i could not sleep

I liked the position, and the overall structure, despite being a bit small/narrow, was more than decent. The rooms were cleaned and equipped with tables and chairs. We found bedbugs in a bed in my room. The staff, in my opinion, was not professional at all in dealing with it. I don't know how common bedbugs are in Brno (I'm quite sure they are not), but when this kind of inconvenience takes place, they should immediately apologise and give the possibility for a refund (there was no option to change room, they were all already booked). Instead this is what happened. Even if the bedbug were not on my bed in particular, I, like anybody else, would not be 100% comfortable with sleeping in an infested room, with the possibility of the bugs crawling up to my spot; therefore I asked for a refund, in order to change hostel. These guys didn't want to give me a refund unless the bugs were actually in my bed as well, thus demand potential photographic proof. What in the actual f is going on? like bro u good?? I'd like to see their asses in my shoes, sleeping in an infested room, and I'm sure they run up to the staff asking for a refund as well!!! I had to change hotel without a refund (I let this one slip just because they are cheap).

Bedbugs, in amounts that speak to the efforts of the hostel. Can't recommend, had to cut our journey short after spending just a couple of hours in the beds.

The receptionist was helpful with fixing a booking issue. There were bed bugs in my bed. They only refunded our first night. The property is listed as having self-caring facilities. I did not see a stove or a hot plate. There was just a microwave and a mini fridge. I would not stay again because of the bed bug situation.

Verschrikkelijk, er is niemand voor de receptie omdat die ook niet bestaat, de telefoon wordt niet meer opgenomen en dan sta je met een paar anderen voor de deur die ook niet binnen komen. Na 3 uur zijn we binnengekomen, waar het vervolgens vrij sfeerloos was. De anderen die in deze hostel verbleven waren niet spraakzaam. De mevrouw bij een andere receptie in Brno zei dat de bedwantsen 3 maanden geleden bestreden waren en opgeruimd waren terwijl wij na 1 nacht bedwantsen weer hadden! SLECHT HOOR

Est très bien situé, à 5min de la gare à pied. Personnellement malgré le fait qu’il n’y ai pas de réception et que tout se passe a distance, je n’ai rencontré aucun problème. L’échange avec le personnel est fluide aussi. J’ai rencontré des personnes qui ont rencontré des problèmes pour le checking et avoir leur chambre mais le problème ne venait pas de la réception mais bien des personnes qui n’ayant pas répondu au mail, formulaire etc. Donc à prendre avec des pincettes les avis des personnes qui critiquent à ce sujet. Et je n’ai ps non plus eu de punaise de lit. Wifi catastrophique. Il y a des travaux des 7h du matin. Les chambres sont très mal isolées. On entend tout ce qui se passe à côté. Une famille avec deux enfants était dans la chambre voisine et on entendait les enfants pleurer ou crier .. bref chiant

Nothing, beware read reviews after booked they're bedbugs. I paid but not stayed there because I don't want to take risk bugs bite. No refund, I understand. When I arrived there , made Czech first impression so bad. Weather was hot and heavy luggages but can not get into the building. This price I can get private room another place. No reception working , you can get into the building only check in time. Lound noise coz near main road and too close to train station.

HORRIBLE HOSTEL!! DO NOT STAY HERE! this place gave me bed bugs! I have so many bite all over my body that i had to go tp the hospital! When i messaged the owner to tell them what hhappenedthey didnt seem to care and they ghosted me. ververy unprofessional. for how much i paid i expected some sort of compensation when i am given bed bugs and can see literal bugs crawling on my sheets!!

Bed bugs. The past reviews over the past month say there were bed bugs, but the owners are not properly addressing the issue. I am leaving with over 30 bites. And absolutely no staff, so you need a phone number to call them, which I did not have on my data plan. Terrible system.

I've stayed at over 50 different hostles around the world and have never been to one that doesn't have any staff until now. A "contactless hostel" just doesn't make sense, theres no one available to help with check in, questions about the city or deal with room or guest issues. My secure locker was broken and the bedside light but theres nobody to ask for help with issues. The facities are good, showers and bed set ups are nice, comfy and private. However, one new experience for me - bedbugs 🪲

Overall the hostel itself was fine. The power was out for an entire day, plugs and essential things still worked but I had to take showers and use the washroom in the dark. The bed bugs were awful, woke up with numerous bites all over my body. Very disappointed with that.

After staying here for a couple of nights, I now seem to be covered in bedbug bites for the first time in my 5 week trip across 18 destinations… The review system also asks for a rating of the staff. There weren’t any! There’s no reception. There are cleaners but that’s all. The place is very very close to the train station, looks nice on the inside, and has privacy curtains which is always a plus. But the bedbugs are pretty unforgivable.

The hostel is infested by bed bugs, be careful. The reception closed without informing the guests about the service absence. The staff is not always kind.

L'emplacement est top, le personnel agréable J'avais de base réservé pour 3 nuits, je suis parti dès le premier jour à cause des PUNAISES DE LIT "BUGBEDS". Nous en avons tués une dizaine le soir, une autre personne de la chambre ainsi que moi avions été piqués, nos vêtements sont foutus. Les murs etaient sales du fait des punaises écrasées contre. Cuisine trop petite.

The girl at the reception was very friendly. I found bed bugs in the bed! I left and went to another hostel. For the reaction I got on the phone as I called to inform them, it is not the first time that it happens. I just read some reviews from last year and they already had a problem with bed bugs, which obviously they didn't care to solve.

Avoid at all costs. Bed bugs & locked out at night. Should have trusted the other comments. The bed in the private room had bed bugs, which we realized after a few nights. The receptionist did not seem surprised. After reception hours, you get back into the building with a PIN. However, the PIN did not work. Only after calling twice did we get assistance. The neighboring Hostel's (Schrott) receptionist said that this is a recurring issue. Refunded for unused nights.

The location is excellent. 5 min walk from main train station and not far from city centre. Their breakfast is gorgeous. The room is big. The staff are friendly and always willing to help. BEDBUGS! Visible bed bugs are full of the room. At the first night after I found bugs on the assigned bed I shifted to another bed but still, the bed bugs were every where. I got bitten but luckily not too serious. The staff and manager relocated me to another room that looks safer on the next day. They did really care my experience that made me feel comfortable, but before they finish pest control I highly not recommend this hostel. Also, there are only 2 bathrooms and 1 toilet for each gender for the whole floor. If the hostel is full, that can be a trouble.

chambre sale, vêtements, serviettes et bouteilles d'eau de partout, lit au-dessus de nous pas fait et sale. Et le must sûrement des punaises de lit, vu qu'en ressortant de la seule nuit de fait nous avons eu plein de boutons sur le corps. Et réveillée à 2h du matin avec un mec, ivre. ensuite aucunes sécurité a l'entrée une fois que tout le monde est parti des SDFS sont rentrés dans le salon commun.

Recepcia mala byt otvorena do 21.00 ale zavrela uz o 17;00 a tak na poslednu chvilu som mal spravu od hostela ze zatvaraju o 5pm a ci pridem o 7pm ? Som povedal ze neviem kedy pridem ze lietadlo meska. Nakoniec mi nechali kluce v boxe. To som mal velke stastie, ked som cital ine recenzie!! Izbu nebolo lahke otvorit s tym cipom, museli ste vystihnúť správny moment ;) Postel nebola velmi pohodlna, zaves nad postelou bola nejaka cervena deka ktorá stále padala bola kratka a nedala sa poriadne dotiahnuť aby ste mali súkromie ! Zachod blizko izby trochu pachne mocom a na zemi pri záchode bolo mokro a vyzeral ako pred dokončením stavby beton vsade Az rano som si vsimol nejake hnedo čierne fľaky na matraci!! Ani vo sne by ma nenapadlo že by to mohli byt plostice a blchy v posteli !! Az dopoludnia na ceste som si vsimol ze som hrozne dostipany po celom tele a nie som prvý v tomto hosteli kde maju problem s bed bugs !! Bohuzial som si to odniesol aj domov, dakujem za krasny suvenír z Brna !!! Uz tyzden bojujem s týmito potvorami a je to boj nekonecny !! Urcite to nahlasim Booking a hygiene !! The location is quite good. The receptionist was also very nice. The room is in fine condition. There were bed bugs. I was left with a plenty of bites on my arms and legs. Huge disappointment, it happened to me for the first time in hostel. Thats extreme minus, so I hope it will be solved in future as you won’t expect getting such problems paying relatively quite a sum for a bed.
