We Got bedbugs at the hostel.

The staff spoke very little to none english. The rooms were hot and cluttered. They were also very small. I have heard that there has been bedbugs there, I didn't see any myself, but that doesn't suprise me one bit. The common area was also very cluttered, the kitchen was very dirty and the bathrooms too. The toilet didn't even have any toiletpaper! I left to find a different place to stay within half an hour. When I left i got refunded for two of the three nights, which was nice.

There were a few minor irritants: the cooker was extremely slow (90 minutes for pasta), there was limited hot water and the mattresses were all in plastic covers (presumably to fight bed bugs).

!!!!!! ATTENTION PUNAISES DE LIT !!!!! Infestée de punaise de lit quelle horreur !!!!! et l’établissement ne correspond pas aux photos. C’est honteux, aucun remboursement n’a été fait alors que j’ai été remplie de piqûres et endroit pas très propre. On ne peut malheureusement pas mettre de vidéo, mais croyez moi que j’ai plus d’une preuve !!!!!!!!

​The staff tried their best, but they spoke only Spanish, making communication very difficult without constant use of Google Translate. Unfortunately, the room did not live up to the description or photos. One room had no lockers at all, and the second room I was offered had lockers but no way to lock them. ​More importantly, the security was completely unsatisfactory. The front door was often left wide open, allowing anyone from the street to enter the building. Furthermore, the door to the actual room had no lock, which felt very unsafe. ​To make matters worse, I woke up with what appear to be bedbug bites. Although I had booked two nights, I checked out immediately the next morning as soon as the itching started.

I got bedbugs from this place. The shower/toilet room were not the cleanest and the locks were not very secure.

Bedbugs are still an issue. Looks nothing like the photos. Cleanliness could be improved in all areas and there is very little space. The dryer doesn't work well so although there is a possibility to wash your clothes it costs 5 Eur and you won't be able to get them dry in the dryer. The hostel has too many guests for the communal space and bathrooms but as I already mentioned its really cheap so its a bargain.

Everything. So dirty, the restrooms extremely dirty and old, the door wouldn’t even close properly. Bed bugs, I got 20 bites over my body. Weird crowd, specially old man staying there and some people sleeping on the common areas.

you will leave with bed bugs, the bunks are covered in stains from bed bug poo etc. avoid at the moment

I was concerned about the hygiene in the bathroom and around the bed. I think there were probably bedbugs or some other insects in my bed. When I woke up in the morning, I had six bite marks on my left arm. Looking at the reviews, I saw that there had been bedbug infestations in the past. Most of the guests were long-term residents or people who lived there. For some reason, there was a girl who slept in the living room every night, making it impossible to relax there. They should improve this. バスルーム、ベット周りの衛生面が気になった。おそらく私のベットにはトコジラミか何か虫がいたと思う。朝起きると左腕に6箇所の刺し跡があった。レビューを見ると以前トコジラミが発生していた。長期滞在者やそこで暮らしている人が大半を占めていた。なぜかリビングで毎晩寝る女の子がいて、リビングでくつろぐこともできない環境。改善したほうがいい。

The hostel is struggling to control a bed bug outbreak. A fumigation program is underway & progress is being made. Some mattresses are blown out. The old man from Bangladesh who snores loudly & prays loudly in the middle of the night. Please evict noisy invasive guests.

There was a huge infestation of bedbugs in my room, which led to having more than 30 bedbug bites after staying at the hostel for just one night. The infestation was so severe that it could not have been overlooked by cleaning staff, it must have been there for at least few months.

Many things in the hostel are broken and need to be fixed. The door of the 4 bedroom room is broken and cannot be closed. Because of that the cold from the outside kept getting into the room and because of that we were unable to sleep during the night. There are also bedbugs in the room. I got several bites during my two night stay there.

Two individual bathrooms for the number of rooms they have is too little (and they should be cleaned more often). The dorms are very basic and need maintenance, the door of the dorm I was in didn’t even close properly. The internet is not very good. The people working there are not very helpful, either they don’t know or don’t care. It was not super bad but I would try other option (and I know that there aren’t many in Skopje)

The room i was in (all girls dorm) was tiny, no room to put bags and the only locker offered was a draw under the bed which locked but was not offered a key. The place was run by volunteers who had no idea what was going on and were sleeping at the reception desk half the time, the volunteers also didn’t speak very much english (like at all) instead they were all speaking spanish and barely tried to communicate - i asked a volunteer about washing in the morning and gave him a bag of clothes to wash (we communicated barely but he said yes asked when my check out was and i assumed he was going to do it) and he put it under the reception desk i assumed that’s where they put it while waiting for the washing machine to be free. I left for the day came back and it was still there, i paid for my stay and mentioned paying for my washing (which i as assuming was being done) and the volunteer at reception mentioned to the same volunteer from earlier to do it in which he replied he would. I waited until 8pm before i went out and it was still there under the desk so i ended up taking it back. The kitchen was very small and the bathrooms weren’t very clean. Was skeptical of this hostel when booking considering the other reviews about bed bugs - i didn’t find any luckily but overall wasn’t a pleasant stay.

There were bed bugs everywhere; on the first day, I killed one, and the next day, two bed bugs. Then I changed my bed. However, after leaving the hostel, I had sores on my hands and legs. I gave it a rating of 1 because of this reason. The entire hostel needs to be treated with insecticide.

I found bedbugs in my room, this was a huge minus of course, the staff told me the pest control is coming there the same day I left so the situation might be better now. My room wasn't very clean, when I checked under the bed there was a lot of dust and a random plastic bag. The bathrooms were very cramped and small, one of the toilets broke.

Bedbugs, I have dozens of bites for couple of days. As it appeared, the issue is reported constantly but it looks like owners of the hostel don't care at all. To my mind, it is unacceptable and the place should be closed till the issue is resolved. The lessons learned by me is to not just look at the score of a place but also pay attention to reviews

Bed bug in male dorm in 11/2023! The wall was full of dead bug pieces and bloody scratches!!!! Do your research and know what happens when they bite you and bring them home!! Spanish guy at reception exceptionally unwelcoming! No real English, no smile, no help…do something else if its not for you.

I read the previous review for bed bugs AFTER I booked. Beds are covered with a mesh, like a mosquito net. Not sufficient for a hostel. I asked for a bed sheet. Bedding was not clean. Blankets smelt gross. Bathroom was dirty. Not for me.

8 person in a room were too crowded, lockers were there but we weren’t provided. There were bedbugs during my stay.

Estaba apestado de chinches. Me picaron mal. Todo el cuerpo con ronchas. Más de 50 picaduras. Es realmente molesto porque te dura como 1 semana la picazón.

Tried to charge me more during check-in. Staff sleeping in the common area during the night, if you wake up early they're still sleeping on the couches. Some people checked out due to bedbugs in their room

There were bed bugs in this hostel. I've got over 30 bed bug bitesin 2 nights…

We spent exactly an hour at this propert before finding out about new friends-the bed bugs. I saw the bedsheets being stained with dried blood and checked the mattress for bed bugs. We decided to switch the hotel immediately and had to wait for the manager to come back because we could only get our money back in denars, which we didn’t need,because we paid in euros. The guy at the reception didn’t speak English at all so we had to communicate over the google translator which was hard too. The only good thing about this hostel is the manager who gave us our money back without any drama. Considering the fact that the bed bug problem is an ongoing issue since a couple of month, I can’t find any plausible explanation for the existence of this hostel. Long story short: Run away, and find a better place because I wouldn’t even stay here for free.

I'm not able to evaluate our stay because the hostel was shuting down due to bedbug poisoning and we had to asap find us a new place to stay for the booked dates.

this hostel doesn’t care about its guests, they don’t care about sorting the bed bug issue (on going from 18th september 2023) they don’t care that a young woman had to pack and leave her room at 1am and refused to help me look for alternative accommodation the bed i was given was dirty, there was pubes and blood stains on the ripped bedsheets, no plug sockets for top bunk (yet bottom gets 3) they gave someone else my locker and the entire atmosphere in the hostel was miserable & the bathroom was a state the people here absolutely shouldn’t be working in hostels, it’s clear they don’t care about guests and they don’t know anything about the city or macedonia i stayed in this room for maybe 40 minutes and have at least 30 bite marks

I stayed only 1 horrible night with a lot of bed bugs in the bed.

No entiendo la buena puntuación en booking. Este lugar es mediocre. Habitaciones muy incomodas con apenas espacio para dejar tus cosas Cajoneras rotas, sábanas viejas con agujeros y lamparones y lo que es peor, había chinches! El personal son voluntarios no macedonios que pese a su buena voluntad, no son de gran ayuda. La limpieza es bastante deficiente.

Zuerst allgemein: Die Duschen hatten nicht immer warmes Wasser, zudem sind 2 Bäder für 5 Zimmer wirklich wenig. Das Hostel hat ein BEKANNTES Bettwanzen Problem. Nachdem ich die zweite gefunden hatte, hat der Mitarbeiter vor Ort dann erzählt, dass sie in den letzten Wochen immer zwei Tage geschlossen hatten, um die Parasiten zu bekämpfen. Das ist viel zu wenig, normal ist minimum 1 Woche mit mehreren Behandlungen durch Profis. Auch in einem anderen Zimmer wurden welche entdeckt. Das Personal hat uns zwar das Geld zurück erstattet, wird mussten aber auf dem Sofa schlafen und es wurde kein anderes Zimmer (voll) oder Hostel organisiert. Keiner der anderen Gäste wurde informiert, am nächsten Tag wurden sogar noch neue Gäste akzeptiert. Das Hostel ist nicht Schuld daran Bettwanzen bekommen zu haben, aber sehr wohl daran, dass sie sie nicht loswerden. Hätte das Hostel direkt Maßnahmen ergriffen, wäre meine Bewertung deutlich anders ausgefallen. (Siehe weiter oben.)

Bed bugs and noise till late time at higher

No puedo poner 1 solo punto bueno cuando tienen una plaga de insectos como pulgas y chinches en los colchones (muy viejos) me fui bien temprano sin dormir, no pude avisarle al dueño, pero seguro esta al tanto.
