   !Bedbugs! My friend and me came inside, saw bedbugs and left immediately. More people had them and left. We had to book a new hotel and we did not get a refund. Do not believe the reviews here, since the staff is asking/forcing people to leave good reviews. In order to get a refund, my other google review had te be deleted, end game: we did never got our refund (see photo). Disgusting place, please do not go.

   We stayed in this Hostel in August... yes I am reviewing this Hostel a long time after. But I am reviewing it on google because I had made a review on Hostel.com. In my review I was explaining how I had a bad experience in this hostel. And then couple weeks later, I had received a message from the Hostel asking me to change my review for a better one and I would get some money back. SO just want to inform you that some reviews are maybe nicer than what they are supposed to be... Overall I would still not recommend this hostel to anyone !

   STAY AWAY!!! It is dirty and smelly. I do not see BED BUGS yet but, I’m sure I will. The whole place is not clean at all. They do not give refunds. I’ve stayed at a few hostels and this is the Worst. TRUST THE BAD REVIEWS!

   Very well situated, in the city center. The room and facilities were clean and comfortable. The staff was so kind and helpful, and the bar downstairs is a great place to meet people and enjoy the evening. Do not pay attention to people leaving bad reviews because they were expecting a hotel. If you are actually looking for a youth hostel, this is a great place.

   If I could give less than one star I would. BED BUGS all over the room, staff had a very lukewarm reaction to it. DO NOT STAY HERE, we spent hours washing and disinfecting. The experience ended our trip early and we had to pay 100s of dollars to deal with it and make it home. Update: after weeks of back and forth “communication” we were almost unable to get our money back. They made us delete all our bad reviews that mentioned the bed bugs in order to be refunded as they claimed their “system” would not allow it without (which a Hostelworld rep confirmed was untrue). Definitely do not recommend.

   BEDBUGS! Update: if you experienced the same but no one is responding about your refund, they are owned by St. Christopher’s Hostels (UK company). After no response for 2 weeks, I contacted St. Chris directly via their website and heard back/got my refund within 12 hours! Original review: I assumed that since the other reviews mentioning bedbugs were 5-6 months old, that they had the issue under control and stayed here anyway. After one night in room 311, I had multiple bites on my arm, leg, and torso. I promptly checked out and moved to other accommodation. They told me to email headquarters for my refund and that I would hear a response in a few days; however, I don’t expect they will respond given the other reviews stating they never heard back about their refund.

   I see many people here complaining that they couldn’t reach the hostel management. Well, not only did they contact us, but they also tried to bribe us to remove a negative review from the Hostelworld app. My friends and I stayed at CDH, and the experience was awful. We wrote an honest review about it and later received an email offering a refund. At first, they framed it as a price reduction to “give you more value for your money and thereby a better overall experience.” But at some point, they became more direct, stating they would refund us 300 DKK (€40) if the reduced price improved our overall experience and made us “want to edit (rating of 8 or above) or delete” our review. We’re not taking the money, and I’m just going to leave the screenshots here. You guys are absolutely shameless. Maybe focus on cleaning your rooms instead of buying good reviews.

   BED BUGS. I was put in an empty dorm w/ 6 beds. There was bugs in all of them. They offered to clean my clothes and said if I contacted them I would be given a refund. I was placated. Judging by other reviews, it seems like that’s as good as it gets- just talk. Since then they have not responded despite causing me a horrendous night trying to sort out other accomodation in the middle of the night. I got told they couldn’t provide me with another room because I would spread the bugs to it- which although I can understand the point, a little less snark would be appreciated when it’s not my fault your hostel has bugs in the first place. If anyone else has the same experience, demand a refund on the spot because clearly over email they decide they can just leave you hanging. Not impressed at all. Also the power points and lights just didn’t work in the room. EDIT: Have continued emailed weekly with no result of getting the refund I was promised. Incredibly disappointing.

    The location is the only good thing. **update 30/01/25** So, I was approached by the hostel and offered a 50% refund on my stay. After a few emails back and forward, I agreed to the 50% refund. The refund was conditional that I change my review amd score the venue with an 8 or above. Needless to say, ive not recieved a refund and I will not be changing my review. Dont stay here. Dont give them your money. *********************************************************** I didn't actually stay here. I booked to stay. I had issues when I got there as I paid in advance and had to prove by showing my online credit card statement, as the booking.com email confirming payment wasn't enough. I've since had an email requesting payment - again. I booked a pod in a female dormatory. I was given a bed in a mixed room. This can only be described as a prison cell with 6 bunks. Im no stranger to staying in hostels, but this place is vile. The staff are rude, the rooms are gross, and it's not worth it. I just couldn't stay there. I booked a hotel and stayed there. DO NOT book this place.

    LOCATION WAS VERY CENTRAL, THIS IS EXPECTED WITH BIG HOSTELS LIKE COP DOWNTOWN HOSTEL. COMFORT ISNT THE BEST, WE STAYED AT AN UPPER BUNK, YOU PAY EXTRA FOR LOWER BUNK, I SCRAPED MY KNEES FEW TIMES GOING UP AND DOWN THE BUNK BED, IT WAS QUITE LOUD WITH 7 OTHER PEOPLE IN THE ROOM ESP WITH LOUD COUPLES WHO ARE DRUNK AND DONT CARE BUT I GUESS THATS PART OF HOSTEL LIVING, THATS PART OF THE RISK AND I GUESS EXCITEMENT AND I CAME IN KNOWING THAT. FACILITIES ARE FINE SAFETY IS GOOD, I FELT SAFE IN THE PROPERTY, I DIDNT NOTICE ANY WEIRD GUESTS , I HAD ONE ISSUE WHERE THE STAFF TOOK MY TOWEL THAT I HANGED NEXT TO THE WINDOW AND SHE SAID SHE ASSUMED IT WAS DIRTY, WE PAY FOR THE TOWELS TOO SO THATS FRUSTRATING, CAUSE SHE CONTINUED ARGUING WITH ME INSTEAD OF SIMPLY GETTING ME A NEW ONE.     Dirty bed linen and dirty dorm. Claims to be the best hostel in Europe is a joke. And don't trust Hostel world reviews. Had to check out early and host is very ignorant.

    The worst night sleep I have ever had. I booked this hostel for a 3 night solo trip. I was nervous about the bad reviews after I booked. I really wish I had just paid extra for a hotel as the first night nearly ruined my whole trip. First of all I would like to stay that the bar staff were lovely and really helpful. I stayed in a capsule pod in a 4 bed mixed dorm. I did think it was going to be only female but it didn't matter. I was on the top pod which shakes as soon as someone else gets in the bottom pod. If you are a light sleeper this is definitely not the place for you. The bed was reasonably comfortable I worried it wouldn't be. The stairs are a bit of nightmare climbing up and down. There's a light on constantly outside your pod and that shines through so you will need an eye mask if that bothers you. It's meant to be a quiet pod, that js what the sign says. It's anything but quiet. You have people coming in all hours of the morning and shouting and talking to their friends staying in the pod. The first night was the worst with this. There was a guy staying underneath me and I dont know who he brought back but they were banging and shouting. Also my flip flops got stolen that were left outside my pod. So every other night I slept with all my stuff inside the pod with me. Trainers towel everything. I got no sleep while I was there also not only due to noisy bunk mates but the music from the other side of the street is so loud and the windows are forced open you cannot close them. The only two good things about this place is the staff are nice and its quite a central location. Other than that it will not be peaceful or restful. If you can afford to pay the extra do that and stay in a hotel and get some sleep. I wish I did.

Night and day he was there and didn't speak so I did feel a little uncomfortable at times.
