Room8に泊まったが、Bed bugがかなり酷いです。ほかの方もかなり噛まれて、清掃が毎日やってくれてるが、全然改善されないです。そして、浴室に蛆虫が多くて、施設の老朽化ですね。最終日に、Room13に移されて、そこには快適です。やはり別館のほうがおすすめです。room8が本館で、ほかの方の書き込みを見る限り、この部屋だけですね。

This was my first time staying in a hostel, so I did not really know what to expect. The location is honestly great because everything is close and you can walk almost everywhere, which helps save money on transport. However, the hygiene and sleeping experience were really disappointing. After my first night, I started getting a lot of bites, and it got worse every day to the point where I could barely sleep. At first, reception told me it was probably mosquitoes, but after speaking with pharmacists afterward, they confirmed that the bites were most likely from bed bugs. What is strange is that I was staying in the men’s room while one of my friends stayed in the women’s room and had no issues at all, so maybe the problem depends on the room. Since the hostel is right in front of a park, there are definitely a lot of mosquitoes around too. The team should maybe consider adding mosquito nets on the windows. The AC is also very loud at night, and the beds feel very cheap since you can hear and feel every movement from the person above or below you. Bring earplugs if you stay here. The bathrooms did not feel very clean either. I even saw mosquito larvae near the shower area, and there were barely enough supplies for everyone. Bring flip-flops for hygiene reasons. Towels are provided though. Breakfast is very basic but okay. Just note that you have to clean after yourself carefully, and there are cameras in the kitchen area. There are also lockers in the rooms, but you need to bring your own padlock. There is a Dollarama nearby if needed. As for the staff, it was very mixed. Some people were nice and helpful, but others honestly acted like they did not care about guests at all. A few staff members came across as cold, judgmental, and not very welcoming, especially toward first-time hostel travelers. Overall, the location and price are decent, but the hygiene and comfort issues really ruined the experience for me.

My overall rating is low because I slept without a t-shirt in Room 8 Bed 1 and woke up the next day with bed bug marks on my back. Please take action to address this issue with this bed mattress.

Bed bugs, irresponsible, not clean. Customer service is so bad.

Can’t beat the location for the price. Reasonably priced parking. Problem is my room and bathroom smelled like sweaty socks and I got bit by spiders in my sleep 8 times. 4 of which are on my face. It’s looks like I’ve been punched and I had to get antibiotics the very next day to get the swelling to go down. Told the property about it and they seemed apologetic but when I called back to confirm it wasn’t bed bugs the girl had no idea of my incident so not my sure how serious there taking it.

- Basically poor communication and experience right from the beginning - despite having secured the booking with my card through booking.com the hostel required cash - when I arrived they took a passport photocopy and required all information about my credit card including expiration date, CVV code...they had it written on a paper in an unlocked drawer. If something is missing from my account, police will have a lead where to look at - the room had heavy air and over 40 degrees Celsius (October!) , it took over 2 hours to get some decent air there via AC (windows cannot be opened) - the washbasin was dirty - the shower did not work at all (not a single drop came out), when I reported it to the receptionist they did not offer any other option thus I couldn't take a shower at all on the 1st day. I had to chase it via mobile during the day to get a new room. No apology or a help to move to the other room at all. - what was supposed to be an updagrade was a wet and moldy air room where a night table light was broken and there was water in the fridge as a bonus (I threw away some cheese I had there since it was muddy in the morning). The room was right next to the main entrance thus I was woken up by people coming in during the whole night - also I had to buy their electro adapter since it is probably the only place in Canada not having some charging options such as usb/c-usb. Another 'fun fact' - the adapter which I paid them for did not work without using some support to keep it plugged - and the complimentary breakfast? Toast bread, butter and cheep cornflakes (no milk or yoghurt...) So far the worst accommodation in Canada (out of 7 cases). I only read the reviews on Google now, hopefully I did not contract the bed bugs like the other guest..Never ever.

Stayed one night in transit, located right by union station. Seems like a great hostel - disappointed breakfast didn’t open until 8am, I had to leave early and missed it. Check for bedbugs, I found one in my bed but the desk was closed and I don’t know if they saw my note.

After 1st night I had a bed bug on my clothes. Staff denied that at first and I slept a second night alone there. They reimbursed me 1 night and gave me a room to stay alone. Last night I woke up with the lower part of my legs full of what was probably flea bites. The only social moment is the breakfast time in the kitchen where there is a huge sign saying that there are rules and that if we don't like the rules we'll be expelled. I didn't like these rules... Top location

A wonderful location and very friendly staff, but the ‘cheap hotel’ turned out to be terribly expensive when I contracted bed bugs dropping on me from the top bunk above my head .. informed the front desk. They moved me to another bed at midnight. On my drive home I got more bites.. now $29 toxic spray of my whole car, boiled all my clothes and sterilized them -most shrank & are garbage, threw out my cute weekender bag, mop & vaccuum daily to hopefully stop the spread… car detailing $200. after the spray dries… One night !… now I’m waiting the 16 day cycles to see if any eggs got through my cleaning & hatch a new batch of bugs. I know they’re rampant but close the rooms down & fumigate then! It’s not a successful business if you’re getting reviews like this. I’m still awaiting a refund from the booking agent. Happy birthday trip to me

The room is not clean, and the bathroom is also dirty and they don't clean it often. There were bed bugs in my bed which left me with many bites, arms and legs full of marks and a lot of itching. I do not recommend it and would never go back

You could see the bed bugs. They asked for more money and I had to pay! No shampoo was available.

Cool house with a great location. Attracts some really weird guests though. You definitely don't feel comfortable all the time because there are men in their late 40s who stay for weeks at a time. There are bedbugs and the ceiling in the ladies dorm was leaking water. Even so, great value with friendly staff.

I dont even know where to start. Their are bed bugs in more than half their rooms. As well in the kitchen we saw mouse droppings In the cupboards and in 2 of the bathrooms. Stay away!! Apparently it's an on going issue. Stay away!!

BEWARE THERE ARE BED BUGS HERE!!!! Stayed two nights in the bunk bed room, overheard one of the regulars as I checked out warn a man about bed bugs and did not think too much about it since he never brought it up before. NOW I HAVE AN INFESTATION DO NOT COME HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO TAKE THEM HOME WITH YOU
