+ Peaceful place, very chill
- The owner is the rudest person we encountered in Cambodia. He overbooked the hostel so I had to sleep in his room, which is not at all what I booked. I would have not had a problem with it but it was the most disgusting place I've ever seen, the place has not been cleaned in years. I've travelled in hostels in Tanzania and Africa in general and I've never seen that level of dirt. There were yellow and brown stains on the toilet and sink, there was trash under the bed, all kind of dust and dirt everywhere. I had to argue with the owner to have it cleaner and even after cleaning it was still the dirtiest place I've even seen. I'm used to do camping and hostels so I have very realistic expectations, but this place was really another level of nasty. There are also several big spiders in the rooms which the owner considers normal. I would seriously stay away at all cost. We also rented motorbikes from him at a very inflated price and had a couple of dinners, in the end we spent a lot of money and he had the courage to ask for 3% commission on credit card payments. Some people should not work in hospitality.
The place has several pros: the location is beautiful, amazing price for the rooms, the food is good and cheap as well. The room was big and quite clean. On the other hand, there was no real safe place to keep belongings, as the door lock was not a real lock. Sophon, the owner, is nice but a bit pushy in asking if we wanted extra services. Alternating relaxed discussions and small talk to the selling talk would have been appreciated.
+ Bungalow dans les bois, très bon marché mais beaucoup d insectes, cafard, fourmis, souris, grenouilles dans la douche. C est la nature mais... Aucun produit de toilette, pas de savon ni de shampooing, ni de papier toilette. Je préférerais payer un tout petit peu plus cher mais avoir savon, shampooing et pq. De plus il est annoncé sur booking 3 restaurants. Il y a bien une petite carte de restauration sur place mais pas 3 restaurants
+ The place is beautiful. Enjoy the nature just next to the city. The place is 15 min walking from town, but the owner came to pick me up for free. The service is nice. Food is good and not expensive. You can also rent bike/motorcycle.

Very basic lodge but had a large bed and hot shower. Very spacious with nice views out the windows. Don’t expect luxury as it’s really a lodge and has some bugs and cobwebs about but it’s good value and the host will make you some food and do some laundry for you (and order a bus but it’s cheaper on 12GO), again don’t expect luxury but it’s perfect for a night or two before heading into the jungle for an adventure

- Chambre au dessus de l’appartement des hôtes , l’accueil et le restaurant et on entend tout. Très mal insonorisé.
In der Nebensaison war ich die einzige in der Unterkunft. Es gibt auch keine Möglichkeiten, sich mit anderen Touristen zusammenzuschließen, weil die Stadt selbst sehr abgelegen ist. Die dschungeltour ist dadurch sehr teuer (60€ für 1/2 tag). Also besser vorher vergewissern, dass auch andere traveller dort sind, dann macht’s mehr spaß:) Ansonsten sehr schöne Anlage!
In the off-season I was the only one in the accommodation. there are also no possibilities to get together with other tourists, because the city itself is very remote. the jungle tour is therefore very expensive (60€ for 1/2 day). also better to make sure in advance that other travelers are there too, then makes more spas:) Ansonsten very nice Anlage!
Had a good stay minus the father of the family who owns and runs it. The wife and kids were warm and welcoming, and the father interacted too - but only really to ask what your plans for the day were or if you were thinking of doing a trek to the jungle, which of course meant he then asked you to book him for any of the above. I know hustling is needed in SE-Asia with tourism, but the fact that I felt more haggled at my accomodation than anywhere else in Banlung made for an uncomfortable last da...
+ Nice spacious bungalow with great views. Sophan, the owner is willing to help with anything and makes some realy nice homecooked diners. Banlung is a quilt city, not real ready for toerism but the surroundings have enough to offer. A craterlake an beautiful waterfalls.
- It is a bit basic and could use maintainance, but it didn’t bother me.

Had an amazing stay at garden view. The tree houses are amazing and the owner is the kindest man I’ve met so far. He’s also an amazing cook. 10/10 would recommend

+ Garden View lodge is such a peaceful place. Chill out with a balcony to see mountain views and a quiet close town where we can walk to the city. The owner is warmly welcome and he organizes jungle trekking for us a great jungle trek in the national park.
+ The best unique spacious bungalow in Cambodia, I never stay at a bungalow like that.chill out The owner was very friendly and I ate breakfast with a delicious banana pancakes and dinner. Unforgettable experiences we make a tour with him around a day tour and jungle trekking.

Sophann and his lovely wife were incredible hosts, the rooms were amazing, more than I ever could’ve asked for and the service was immaculate. Definitely will come back here next time I’m in Cambodia. Highly recommend
Beautiful location!! You get your own hut with incredible views. It’s quite basic, but I like that! It was a treat to have the room to myself (and a double bed!) The food was a bit hit and miss, some things were good and others not.. They had some beautiful kittens on the property while I was there which was super nice! The guy was a bit pushy about booking onto his trekking tours and I think he offers elephant feeding / washing which obviously isn’t hugely ethical. Bit of a walk to town...
