the staff is rude... I ask them not to charge my cc and they disregard my request.. the place has bed bugs. there is no free coffee. there is old homeless men sleeping there. it's a flop house for homeless people.

See attached photos. #1: Bedbug captured crawling on my bed (recently fed). #2: Bedbug nest discovered by electrical outlet after further searching because management disagreed that first insect was a bedbug. #3: The condition underneath my mattress (multiple earplugs belonging to previous guests, more filth). This bunk is covered in bedbugs and filth. After management finally agreed these were bedbugs, I was moved to a new bunk and the manager kindly offered me a small cake (which I declined). My only request was to be provided with enough coins to properly wash and treat my clothing+bags+belongings in the hostel's dryers (bedbugs require 30 minutes on high heat to kill). He agreed. On the day of my checkout there was a new manager. He was unhappy with the agreement that was made. Originally he offered me only enough coins for a wash cycle ($50 NTD), not even drying. After fighting with him he provided another $100 NTD to cover two 40-minute drying cycles. This still wasn't nearly enough and I had to spend another $100 NTD of my own money. I was asking for very little. Just enough to properly clean my belongings after being exposed to an insane bedbug infestation and prevent their spread to my next destination. The 2nd manager treated me like I was trying to rip off the hostel or something and became emotional and childish. I've never had such a heated encounter with staff. They have no clue how to identify, manage, or treat bedbugs. This is the only time I've ever considered pursuing a refund. The showers and toilets are also gross (toilet paper goes in the bin 🤢).

Bed bugs and mold. The place has a strong mold issue. If you are sensitive I'd skip this place.

Gli ostelli per backpacker Taipei Changchun sono una scelta economica con una posizione utile a Taipei, vicino alle basi quotidiane come PX Mart e relativamente vicino alla metropolitana. Si adatta meglio come opzione per i bassi costi quando il prezzo e la posizione contano più del comfort o dell'atmosfera. C'è una grande sala comune, acqua calda e fredda da bere, tende per il letto per la privacy e la custodia dei bagagli può essere flessibile dopo il check-out. Alcuni dormitori sono piccoli, con circa quattro letti, e alcuni letti sembrano abbastanza puliti per una semplice notte. Il lato sociale sembra debole piuttosto che vivace. Il posto può sembrare tranquillo e la folla può essere più anziana, quindi non è una scelta naturale per chiunque cerchi un classico luogo di ritiro per backpacker. La pulizia è il problema principale. Moltiplicarsi, avere odori umidi, tende sporche, pareti o condutture di ventilazione polverose, spazi di lavaggio scuri e stanze minuscole senza finestre sembrano essere problemi seri e ricorrenti. Il rumore si diffonde anche male attraverso l'edificio, con muri sottili e possibili disturbi notturni.

- Le cimici sono un serio rischio qui, con recenti casi specifici che coinvolgono un letto e una presa elettrica.
- Bagni, tappeti, tende, muri, lavandini e cucine possono essere sporchi o in cattiva manutenzione.
- Le stanze possono essere piccole, senza finestre, avere un odore umido e una scarsa insonorizzazione.
- Le interazioni con il personale possono essere difficili, compresi i problemi di pagamento, prenotazione e gestione dei problemi.
- Non si dovrebbe assumere il WiFi, gli armadietti, il caffè gratuito, gli asciugamani e le pantofole.
