The room was extremely small, very hot and had a strong unpleasant smell. I had already asked the staff to move me to another room, but I was told that there was no availability. Later, I found a small insect on my bed that appeared consistent with a bed bug nymph. I kept the insect and took photographs as evidence. I immediately reported the issue and contacted Booking.com Customer Service, providing the photographs and requesting assistance and a refund. I had to leave the accommodation and book another place because I did not feel comfortable staying there. More than 48 hours later, neither the property nor Booking.com has provided a response to my complaint. I am attaching the photograph of the insect so that future guests can make an informed decision.
