I wanted to like this cute little hostel. Unfortunately, the lack of cleanliness was a major issue. So much debris in the bed in particular made me very concerned for bed bugs or lice. The bathroom and toilet were not much better, and fortunately I brought flip flops to prevent infection. I chose this hostel because I wanted a clean place to sleep, but I may have slept better in my car. My concerns kept me from sleeping much at all. Please run a vacuum around the bed when you change the sheets, and some bleach on the walls and floors would go far in making this a fantastic place to stay. For future travelers - make sure you bring a lock with a small shackle, as my standard sized masterlock would not fit. There is no where to place your shower supplies other than the floor, so a hanging bag would help. The shower has a timer, you need to press the button every few minutes but the water is adequately warm.

Auberge de Jeunesse HI Nîmes sta sulle colline verdi sopra Nîmes, con un contesto calmo e frondoso, terrazze, giardino, parcheggio e un piccolo bar. Si adatta meglio a viaggiatori che vogliono una base economica e tranquilla fuori dal centro, soprattutto con auto o bagaglio leggero. Il giardino e il tavolo da ping-pong gli danno un semplice angolo hangout. È disponibile una cucina condivisa, con spazio frigo e attrezzatura base per cucinare; la colazione può essere comoda e a volte generosa, anche se di solito è semplice. L'umore è spesso rilassato, anche se gruppi rumorosi o musica all'aperto possono disturbare il sonno nelle notti sfortunate. Lo staff è spesso caloroso e utile, con dritte pratiche sulla città e uno stile di reception amichevole. Le camere possono essere pulite e spaziose, e alcune hanno lavandini, toilet vicini, armadietti, mensole accanto al letto o terrazze. Tutto il posto ha un feeling old-school da ostello della gioventù più che un setup moderno lucido.

- L'hostel è fuori dal centro, con un ultimo tratto ripido in salita; camminare dalla stazione o dal centro può richiedere circa 30-40 minuti, e i bus potrebbero non circolare tardi.
- L'estate può essere dura: le camere possono non avere aria condizionata o forte ventilazione, e le zanzare possono rendere difficile tenere le finestre aperte.
- Il Wi-Fi può funzionare soprattutto in reception o nelle aree comuni, non nelle camere o cabine.
- Manutenzione e pulizia possono essere irregolari, con letti, bagni, porte, terrazze e giardini vecchi che richiedono lavoro.
- Tende letto, prese accanto al letto, asciugamani, toiletries e privacy completa non vanno dati per scontati.
