Hostal Casa Colonial Viena Internacional sits in Quito's historic center and has a strong old-building feel. It is close to Plaza Grande and other central sights, with a locked front door and 24-hour reception giving it a secure, controlled feel. Staff come across as warm, patient, and very helpful, and the building's character shows in the courtyard, balconies, and colonial look. Breakfast is a real part of the stay here. It is served on the rooftop or terrace, and there is also coffee, tea, water, and sometimes fruit available during the day. Some rooms are spacious and comfortable, with hot showers, good beds, a desk, and decent Wi-Fi. In a few cases, breakfast can also be brought to the room, which makes mornings easier. A few practical cautions: the street can be noisy at certain hours, and rooms facing the courtyard or with interior windows may feel less private. Hot water can be inconsistent in some rooms, and housekeeping may need a direct request. Even so, the setup is simple, central, and comfortable.
