Terrible. Got bed bugs the first night left immediately after waking up covered in bites. Would not return!

this is definitely an interesting hostel…there was about 7 other people staying here while I was and they were all my roommates. the atmosphere was nonexistent, and the staff were honestly really “exclusive” vibes and not welcoming. there were no bed bugs so that was nice at least!

Bed bugs! Moved into different rooms but everyone kept getting them. No refund. Nice place to meet people. Friendly staff, social and good location.

Fun but bed bugs and they were in denial about it. Over priced for what it is but pub crawl etc was fun.

Unfortunately the hostel is in denial about the bed bug situation, i emailed the hostel prior to me staying and they responded saying it’s been dealt with - which is complete bs! The hostel needs to close up and fix the issue

It is extremely dirty, regardless how dirty you think, it is dirtier. Bed bugs and cockroaches are you roommates. The rooms smell like you are in a swamp. No air conditioning in most rooms. Mama's breakfast is pretty much couple thin pancakes with Nutella, no coffee, it is very bad. The party games and nights are organized by couple Australian teens that have no idea was they are doing, and they very rude, because they think it is cool to be rude I guess. The hostel is pretty much dominated by teens from Australian and Neuseeland ( I don't know if that is negative or positive, it depends on what you want and who you are).

Unfortunately we had bed bugs in our room and first they didn’t even want to believe us.. then when we finally spot one they believed us and an insect examinator came and we changed the room. From a 4-bed room we changed to a 8-bed room and it was super noisy because of the street. Then we changed the room again but had bed bugs again and left. It’s good that they didn’t let us pay our full reservation but we didn’t get any extra.. that was a bit sad because we didn’t have a good stay with that. But I must

There were bed bugs in half the rooms, there was no air con so it felt like you were sleeping in a sauna. While the pub crawl was fun, all hostels do the same one so save your money and go somewhere else. For what it is this hostel is too expensive.

Great location and very social hostel, great for solo travellers who enjoy the bar crawl. One main issue is the bed bug infestation. Multiple rooms with them and it needs to be rectified asap. Guest service was good, crepes in the morning were decent.

We had booked a 4 bed room, we were informed 2 days before our arrival that our room was not available but that they offered us an 8 bed room, we accepted with a refund of the difference. The room was rather simple, nothing to say even if the cleaning was not done during our 4 days. However, we found bed bugs on our last night. We informed the reception who apologized, changed our sheets but nothing more. So be careful because we find ourselves returning from a trip and having to deal with all our clothes/stuff….

They had a bed bug infestation, ended up with bites covering my entire body. When we alerted the owner, we were moved to two different rooms which both had bugs. Owner, who seemed lovely to begin with tried to convince us they were sandfly bites, refused to give us a full refund, and tried to blame us when we attempted to get compensation. For what you pay facilities are subpar, no aircon so rooms are extremely hot. Only good thing about our stay were the awesome staff and the events they ran.

ALERTE BEDBUGS! Staff know the problem but they do nothing. It’s too bad because we have spent great time. The atmosphere is really good and the activities too

I had a great time and met great people here but they do have a bed bug problem. I couldn’t sleep for two nights due to the itching all over me.

Bed bugs!!! They told me it was an ongoing issue in my room and they booked us in as test dummies!! So messed up! I had to leave early and spend $4x the amount I initially booked for to get a hotel last minute during peak season. Ruined my stay and my messed my whole trip around with no compensation!!! PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

The social parts where great. Fun people and pubcrawl. The breakfast is crepes and they are good. However, in our room there was bedbugs, and a lot of them. We told the staff at night that did not do anything, and the next day mama told us not to tell anyone. We waited for a long time only to get compensated the night we choose to leave even though we stayed up and waited the entire night before. Overrated hostel.

Woke up with bed bug bites after staying in a 4 bed dorm. I reached out to staff and got ghosted twice about the issue. Was not offered a refund, compensation for dry cleaning/antibiotic ointment or even an apology. The pub crawl was very fun (and free) - but pretty much anyone can join it once they have left the hostel. Beds were rickety, blankets didn’t seem very clean and facilities were 6/10 clean. After I checked out I saw the same heavy blanket I used the night before refolded and not washed on the remade bed ready for the next guest (I had a friend who stayed in that room an extra night so I was in there helping her with her luggage). No locked luggage area either for pre or post check out storage. I would not stay here again because of the bed bugs and lack of concern from staff but I would recommend the pub crawl if you find the group out at the bars. I expected an issue like bedbugs to be handled better. Did not take a pic of the bites fresh but this is them about 5 days and one week after. Other people I travelled with had the same issue with waking up with bites as well. Wish I took more pics inside the hostel.

DONT RECOMMEND, got BED BUGS my first night, Staff offered to wash sheets and wash all my clothes, after this happened night 2, i physically caught the bug and took it to staff, They said they would report to boss (MAMMA) i woke up inflamed with bugs BITES all over me, having to get multiple creams and antibiotics, requested to change rooms but was unable to as it was full, so they moved me to another bed in the room, in alot of pain unable to enjoy my time in LAGOS, night 3 i requested a refund or half a refund at least as i was unable to sleep and unable to do anything in lagos because of pain, Day 3 - last day! - i was hospitalised and got a steroid shot as well as multiple blood tests and steroid tablets, requested a partial refund and MAMMA was very rude about it stating that stuff happens in hostels etc, not happy with the service at all and not giving it a star because it doesn't deserve anything.
