Mattress was layed through. Was bitten by bedbugs.

The location and staff are perfect! Free luggage storage, good kitchen and communal space, and well sized rooms. My only problem was I got bit every night by mosquitoes. The rooms get opened in the day during cleaning and then the mosquitoes like to stay the night. Not the biggest deal but I’m leaving the hostel with 20+ red bites from these mosquitoes (although they aren’t bed bug bites so that’s a perk) for the €60 a night I paid it hurt a little, so just keep that in mind!

BEDBUGS. This hostel was a disgusting LYING disgrace. We arrived from Rome and stayed one night out of the two nights we had booked. We stayed in room 15. We woke up, covered in bed bug bites with images to prove it. We went to management and they said that there was no issue and since they’ve never had an issue with bedbugs before there can’t possibly be an issue ever (logic, am I right?). We demand demanded a refund or at least for the night that we were not going to stay, and they refused. They also forced you to pay in cash as to remain not liable for their negligence. We then asked for an invoice of our trip. They gave us a receipt with less money than we paid as well as only dating it one night. They claimed that they could not give us our money back and that they had to see proof of the bugs. You don’t find proof that easily if there’s only a few if you know anything about them. They also said that they would disinfect their rooms and they do disinfect them, but if you know anything about this situation, you know that disinfecting is not what cures the situation. You need heat and fumes. This place was incompetent or rather willfully incompetent as to not provide fair, cleanly, and honest hospitality. Do not stay here. Also, you want to threaten legal action over my review? Try it. Free speech, as this is the truth.

Unfortunately, it had a bed bug

I have a strong suspicion that they have bed bugs. After three days of sleeping there, on the last day I woke up with MULTIPLE horrendous itchy bites all over my arms and my legs and my face. I inspected the bed thoroughly and could not find any sign of bed bugs on the bed, however, it is an old building and there were other reviews that have said they found bed bugs. My roommate also had a big spider bite underneath her cheek. Additionally, the service desk guy disregarded my concerns and told me it was mosquito bites (in the middle of January!!). He said he would look and email me, but so far he has not. The location is great and the rooms are big, so if not for the bedbugs, I would have rated 5 stars. However, I am super disappointed and this caused me a great deal of stress.

Andava abbastanza bene fino a quando una compagna che dormiva in stanza ha trovato delle cimici da letto sul cuscino la mattina appena sveglie e questo sicuramente ha compromesso il piacevole soggiorno all'interno dell'ostello.

I was bitten by bedbugs on my bed. But roommate didn’t get it

I just saw a review from 3 days ago saying what I came to say. They do in fact have bed bugs. The late night reception member convinced me it was mosquitos, said he saw small ones not long ago. I was in a room with others, and had my upper arms destroyed. Figured it was mosquitos cause someone opened both windows wide (it's cold season so I should've known better). I had them move me to another room and I was fine for some hours until..I was bit on my legs. Then I had to research how far mosquitos will go to get some blood but under THREE blankets ? Yes, I had 3 blankets on me. Anyway, I saw something move as I was in the bed mustering energy to get up and what do you know? Bed bug. The main manager this morning tried to tell me it was the bus or train. It was not. I got an 80% refund and was booted immediately. The staff are friendly for the most part but he wanted me out quickly and to not make much hubbub about it on my way out so I didn't but this review had to be made.

Don`t go they have bedbugs!!! We told them and they did nothing about it. We now have to pay thousands of dollars for a chamber hunter… However, the location is excellent and you have about a 3 min walk to the Duomo, but whether it's worth the bedbugs I don't know.

Woke up with what I presumed were bed bug bites...

the hostel has a very good location and the personal are very nice however the price is too expensive for what the offert. Very basic rooms and bathrooms and my bed had bed bugs !!

Sadly I had a cockroach and bedbugs in my room, but they gave me some money back. The room and location was cute though

Bed bugs and people talking loud outside agter 23:00 and nobody from the hostel ask them tp be quiet

Sympa place! Unfortunately due to the amazingly central location, there is a lot of noise from outside (on the street there is a leather market so early in the morning and later at night imagine the sound!) and no double-glass windows... Also, the cleaning very basic, and even lower in my case, because there was food stuck on the floor under my bed when I checked-in but the stuff took care of this immediately when I mentioned it...and i got bed bugs my last night there...

I had lots of bed bug bites after my stay in room 17D. Take care to inspect the bed and it's surrounding before you stay there.

There were bedbugs here. They knew about it, because they were getting the room treated (with a Polti Cimex Eradicator), they lied about it (said it was for mosquitos), and they still let people stay in a room that had bedbugs. Bed bugs during one night stay

Bare minimum hostel, not the worst but basically a place to sleep. The staff was nice and so were the guests but that was it. Location was pretty ideal. Also I got bed bugs while staying there but luckily I caught it before it spread anywhere.

Localização ótima e atendimento excecional, mas na cama da minha irmã tinha bedbug e fui um experiência horrível. Tivemos que sair antes do fim da hospedagem para outro lugar. Mas solucionando esse problema, super recomendaria.
