MEININGER Paris Porte de Vincennes

I stayed at your hotel for two days. Upon my return, I discovered that I had been severely bitten by bedbugs. Both of my arms are affected, with more than 30 bites on one arm alone. After the first night I noticed the first marks, but I assumed they might have been mosquito bites. I had never in my life encountered bedbugs before, so I did not even know what their bites looked like. Now I realize that in your hotel one must always check the beds carefully. This is both frightening and repulsive. This is unacceptable for a hotel of your reputation. Furthermore, the service was disappointing. The two women at the reception, though outwardly smiling, were very unfriendly and unhelpful in their interactions. I also experienced unnecessary difficulties during the check-in process. In the past, I have stayed at your hotels in other cities and was always satisfied. Unfortunately, this time my experience was extremely negative. I came to Paris expecting the standards of a modern, civilized city, but instead, I felt as though I were in a third-world country. Despite the hotel’s reputation, I cannot recommend this location. The only positive aspect of this hotel is its location. It is conveniently close to the city center by metro, and the neighborhood feels safe even in the evening. The price is also reasonable for Paris. However, considering the circumstances, it seems better to pay more for a hotel without bedbugs.

The bedbugs.

Nous avons passé une nuit en famille (2 adultes+2 enfants) dans l'hôtel. Points + : situation, chambre familiale pratique, salle de bain très bien, casiers pour laisser les bagages Points - : après inspection pour vérifier la présence ou non de punaise de lit (il n'y en avait pas) j'ai vu que mon matelas n'était pas en bon état (tâche comme brûlé côté sol, et énorme auréole jaune côté alèse), je n'ai pas très bien dormi ! Le matelas de mon mari était quant à lui peu confortable, et nous n'avons pas testé les lits des enfants. Du bruit tardivement par un groupe qui est rentré dans la nuit. Le petit déjeuner compliqué, énormément de monde donc très difficile de trouver une place, puis très difficile d'avoir quelque chose dans l'assiette car à peine réapprovisionné, le buffet était pris d'assaut par les groupes. Qualité du buffet de petit déjeuner pas extraordinaire. Globalement déçus par notre expérience et par le rapport qualité prix.

We stayed here for 4 nights in a room of 6. The windows did not open and the thermostat was difficult to control, however it was all otherwise amazing. The service at breakfast was excellent, shout out to Mohammad who unfailingly greeted us with a wide smile. The room was very comfortable and clean (no bed bugs as far as we could tell). I had a great time and I would highly suggest this as a place to stay.
