Hostel Vrba

I enjoyed by time in Slovenia and spent 3 nights at this hostel. I originally booked at AdHoc but they had a bed bug infestation so all their bookings were transferred to different hostels. Upon arrival we were greeted by Alex, they were really helpful and friendly and the highlight of the hostel. But the cleanliness was an issue, it was very unclean likely due to the small amount of bathrooms to the amount of people. Kitchen facilities are basic, oven doesn't work. Rooms very warm. Obviously it's a cheap hostel we expected those things and perhaps we got a bad time or whatever. But the main issues were external. The bars across the river are really loud into the early hours of the morning and to stall cool the windows needed to be open, even when closed it was super loud. Then from very early (about 6am) church bells sound for long periods at quite random and frequent times. It meant I was really unable to sleep well throughout the night. Others we met had the same issue.

Alex was so so helpful during our time here. I had unfortunately contracted bed bugs from a previous hostel and she gave me so many useful tips and advice to get rid of them before checking in, to help me get rid of them but also keep the hostel safe for everyone else. The rooms were a good size and the beds were comfy.
