I got bed bugs from Nolo. This place is so overhyped by the reviews. It is dirty, the bathrooms smell like sewage, and when I checked in my bed was covered in bugs. Yes, it is very social and holds great activities. If you want to party and go out to the bars every night this place is for you. I wouldn’t stay here again. There’s other cleaner, nicer hostels closer to the walking street that are also social. Not worth it.

My friend got bed bugs from this hostel. She spoke to the manager about it and he totally dismissed and gaslit her. She later went to a doctor who confirmed it was bed bugs. The volunteers were very good. The pool never opened.

Nolo Hub Pai è una base a Pai altamente sociale, con attività quotidiane, eventi serali, reps e un setup hangout centrato sulla piscina. Tende al divertente e party-friendly senza sempre distruggere il sonno: quiet hours e uscite in paese possono tenere la parte più tarda della notte lontana dai dorm. I letti stile pod sono un vero punto forte, con capsule spaziose, privacy, storage e materassi comodi. Piscina, aree comuni, biliardo, acqua gratis, tè, caffè, docce calde in molte camere e trasporto utile verso il paese rendono il posto più facile da abitare di quanto suggerisca la posizione fuori centro. La giornata di donazione alla scuola è il tocco più distintivo. Dà all’ostello un po’ più di personalità rispetto al circuito standard drink-and-tour di Pai, e sta accanto a scooter tour, tubing, serate bar e gite diurne che rendono abbastanza facile conoscere gente. La scena sociale può virare cliquey, rep-heavy o molto centrata sul bere, soprattutto quando il crowd è più tranquillo o la crew di volontari domina la stanza. La pulizia è irregolare: dorm e letti sono spesso ok, ma i bagni possono puzzare, insetti e scarafaggi sono stati un problema, e wc/docce stile wetroom non andranno bene a tutti.
Segnali da controllare
- Walking Street è a circa 10-20 minuti a piedi; shuttle o pickup possono essere disponibili, ma uno scooter aiuta.
- I bagni possono avere odori di fogna, perdite, insetti o scarafaggi.
- Ordinare cibo può essere lento quando non c’è un setup ristorante attivo in loco.
- Il setup sociale può sembrare cliquey o molto centrato sul bere.
- L’accesso all’aria condizionata può essere limitato durante il giorno, e asciugamani o lavanderia possono costare extra o essere frustranti.
