Le Regent Montmartre by Hiphophostels

Women at the reception is spiteful, no soap in the the toilet and it you ask you get looked at weirdly. Also might be bed bugs not sure.

This is the 14th hotel/hostel I have stayed at in Europe across 8 countries and by far the worse experience. My friend and I had the misfortune of staying here for 3 nights during a 2 week long trip. We specifically booked a double bed'ed room that online gave the ability to split the bed, along with an enclosed bathroom. When we arrived, we had 1 double bed with a comically small bathroom holding only a toilet, that leaked profusely . The actual bathtub(Tub, not shower) was located INSIDE the actual bed room, no enclosed. Like the other reviews state, the walls are thin, it gets cold as all else while only being provided a useless space heater. Furthermore, the elevator does not work fully and would stop 4-5 times in 1 trip to the 6th floor, between floors. When my friend and I asked the desk worker at night why we were not given our room we booked, he said what is online is not what you always get. Disregarding the false advertising, it was clear this was effectively a gotcha moment as the room next to ours was the room we actually booked. The workers in the morning made it very clear what the night worker said made no sense but were unable to change our room. Would give 0/5 if I could, only positives are the cleaning crew, which as you seen in other reviews there are bed bugs, and it is near the metro.

Bedbug bites all over my body and this was the first stay from my Europe trip. The reviews from Booking.com were all good however I should have checked the google reviews where they mentioned bed bugs.

The staff was nice and the location was great,but I did find a few bed bugs in my bed which made it less than enjoyable.I was there for only one night and barely could sleep with the thought of the amount of laundry I will have to do not to spread them to my own home.If they sort that problem out then its not a too bad place,not the best Hostel experience I have had...

bed bugs :( we slept there for two nights, and we left after noticing the bite patterns and a few small baby bugs in the bed. they never issued us a refund for the third night we paid for but didn't use.

We got bed bugs at this hotel. my wife has bites all along her arm, neck and face and our trip is fully ruined. Upon closer inspection of the mattress we also found hair, dirt and a generally stained and disgusting mattress under the one layer of sheets. We have photos of all of this. The mgmt was confused and rude. They told us we were getting a full refund the day we left the hotel and then we have been left in limbo for 2 weeks with no money returned. the manager has refused to return emails or phone calls and we are being told nothing by the employees who answer the phone. Terrible experience.

GROSS!!! Absolutely terrible hotel. My wife and I got bed bugs here and the staff have been extraordinarily unhelpful and rude. I’ve never stayed anywhere with such unhelpful management, especially when something this serious has happened. My wife was bitten all over her face, neck, chest and arms. Over 60 bites in all. The location is great and the staff are very nice. However, there were bedbugs and also black mold in the shower. Additionally, there should be soap provided in the communal bathrooms.

Not so clean. The beds were deplorable! The bed cushion was old and dirty (would not be surprised if there are bed bugs, seriously). The mattress was so old, there is already a depression in the middle. Time to throw away. There are no towels provided. There is too much noise from the other rooms. The building was high density for sure.

Dieses Hostel ist nicht zu empfehlen!!! Das Hotelzimmer ist klein, unsauber, voller Schimmel und nicht gut isoliert. Es ist so dreckig, dass man das Gefühlt bekommt, zuerst alles durchsuchen zu müssen, ob es Bettwanzen oder Sonstiges hat. In der Nacht kann man kaum schlafen, da es so laut ist und man alles und jeden hört. Das Frühstück ist ganz klein gehalten, es hat keine Auswahl. Das Ambiente im allgemeinen war sehr komisch und wir haben uns garnicht wohl gefühlt. Das einzige Gute war die Lage ansonsten gibt es nichts positives über dieses Hostel zu berichten. Ich persönlich würde niemals wieder dorthin gehen.

Leider absolute Enttäuschung. In meinem Bad war unfassbar viel Schimmel und zudem sah alles sehr abgenutzt aus. Darüber hinaus habe ich in meinem Bett Bettwanzen gefunden. Habe daraufhin direkt ein neues Zimmer gefordert. Service war dabei nicht so gut. Das Hostel ist nicht weiterzuempfehlen. Nur die Lage ist gut.

Bathrooms are moldy with wet floors and no soap or towels. Beds are squeaky (might have bedbugs). The $9 breakfast is literally just one croissant!

Leur mensonges...et en plus il y a des punaises de lit fait très attention.

There was no handsoap inside the room. And maybe paper-slippers would be nice.

Uncomfortable beds, old bathtub that was chipping away under my feer. Though it was clean thanks to the cleaning stuff, everything was old. The beds, the matress, the curtains... I didn't even try breakfast there even though it was included. Quite terrible machine coffee also, which I fear is what they serve in breakfast also. My personal favorite was that they didn't even have soap in the bathroom to wash your hands (in the room)... Of course I had already brought my towels and own shampoo because they weren't included, but I thought that at least they would have put soap. Like people, it doesn't even cost that much. I know it's supposed to be an affordable hostel and you get what you pay for, but I guess there are some basic things that even hostels should provide (clue : SOAP). Especially hostels in the city that recently had a major public health problem, AKA BEDBUGS.

Rebasa lo básico llegando a ser carente, ni siquiera ponen jabón para manos. El baño apesta todo el tiempo, no tiene regadera fija y todo en la habitación suena. Demasiado ruido de la calle. Por si fuera poco, l cama tuvo chinches y me voy llena de ronchas.

Was expecting to be bitten by bed bugs when staying in this hostel. The showers were disgusting and moldy, both in the room and the corridor, I wonder if anyone has ever cleaned them. For people sleeping on the top bunk beds, there wasn't really place to place your luggage or your stuff anywhere.

Achtung Bettwanzen! Ich bin nach der ersten Nacht mit juckenden Stichen aufgewacht. Man bekommt ein Bettlaken und eine braune dicke Decke (kann man nicht überziehen). Nachdem ich ohne die braune Decke geschlafen habe und sie weit weg von mir lag hatte ich keine Stiche mehr…seltsam. Nettes Hostel, mit vielen lieben Leuten. Viel Platz für die Sachen. Man kann es nicht mit dem deutschen Standart an Sauberkeit vergleichen: Ameisen im Bad, Dreck in den Ecken und Staub im Bad.

This is a very nice hostel for solo and small group travelers, especially people who want to be very active but are less interested in partying and clubbing (at least as their main goals). Rooms are a good size for 4 people, with nice big windows. You actually can get to know your roommates, and the intimacy makes it feel much safer. The facilities were fine - some others reporting having bugs in the mattress (not bedbugs!), but mine was fine as were my rooomates. Bathroom is fine, but I wish they would put some kind of hand soap and paper towels/hand dry, that’s one really easy fix they could do. Nice location close to transport and the Montmartre neighborhood.

I was only staying 1 night but I ended up mostly likely getting bed bugs from here. Thankfully it was only 1 night because the room/bathroom looked really old. I just avoided showering because the bathroom didn’t look very clean. only good thing really was the view and location. Other than that I would probably avoid it next time :/

Die Aussicht aus dem Zimmer war genial und ich war allgemein sehr zufrieden mit dem Hostel! Leider habe ich nach der Abreise bemerkt, dass es Bettwanzen hatte, ich hatte Stiche am Arm und Rücken.. Schade:/

145€ for a dirty room with no bathroom or toilet + cockroaches and bedbugs as an added bonus. Be warned : stay away.

THERE ARE BED BUGS HERE! Do not recommend. I couldn’t sleep all night because I was so itchy. Woke up with over 100 bites. At first I thought they were mosquitoes, but then we checked under the mattress and we found a bed bug infestation. Got out of there immediately. They refunded us for the nights we didn’t end up staying, but did not seem overly apologetic. We stayed in room 35.

The hostel is extremely close to the metro and many restaurants and a pharmacy. Sacre Couer is a few blocks away. However, we had bedbugs in our room. When we informed the staff, they said the room would be listed as out of order, but later we found out that they didn't tell our roommates and let them continue staying in the room. That is shady to say the least.

Service à la clientèle médiocre (employés désagréables et non courtois). Chambre mal propre. Après une seule nuit sur place j'ai été recouverte de piqure de punaise de lit sur tout le corps et il a fallu que j'argumente avec la gérante pour ne pas rester la deuxième nuit que j'avais réservé à cause de ce désagrément. Une employée m’a même répondu que c'était impossible que je puisse avoir eu les piqures de punaise de lit dans leur établissement puisque les piqures sont sensées apparaitre en 3 jours... CE QUI EST TOTALEMENT FAUX ET ABSURDE. De plus, mauvaise localisation géographique. Quartier peu sécuritaire et très mal propre. Juste à côté de la zone de prostitution de paris...
