DO NOT STAY HERE Biohazard. Disgusting. Unlivable. Avoid this place at all costs. The room was absolutely filthy: floors covered in thick grime, a layer of dust on all the fixtures, an unwashed sink filled with loose hairs, and trash bins left overflowing. Worse, the bed was completely unmade and full of hair—clear proof the sheets were never changed. To top it off, we discovered bed bugs. Definitely wouldn’t stay here again. Bedbugs in the beds. Bugs everywhere. Poor organisation, me and my friend booked together but they split us up. when we asked to be put together they changed our room twice within our 4 night stay. Very low water pressure in the showers. The staff were okay, and we didn’t feel unsafe staying here. Just the overall vibe didn’t feel very welcoming. I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless you’re looking for a bare minimum place to stay for a couple of nights.

Left after 2 nights due to bed bugs everywhere. Bloodstains of previously squished bed bugs on the walls. The locker, of which I paid extra for a padlock, was still accessible when locked. The whole place was unclean, the pictures online are way out of date. Good location and but definitely not worth staying in.

0/5 dont book stays in a rush and forget checking reviews like an idiot. if you enjoy the physical and mental trauma of bed bugs stay here. i assume every viral, bacterial and fungal disease known to man can be caught here. sick people coughing will sing you to sleep. pack a hazmat suit. your health and safety is worth another 50 euros per night.

Nightmare stay! The place is so dirty, just stay for couple of hours for 2 nights stay, had to find another place last minute, because the bed was infested with BEDBUGS! My whole body still inching after leave that rubbish place!

Horrible. COVERED in bedbugs. No warm water, no curtains, tap and plugs not working. They do not care about the safety of their clients and will not answer you. We spent an hour asking help from the receptionnist who said it was not his problem. Manager useless. We had to leave and find a place to sleep in at 2am. Do not go there it's a scam. What they are doing is illegal.

Bedbugs. Need I say more, I was ok in my bed but my friend was eaten alive by bed bugs and they infested his luggage (we shared a twin room) toilets are also very small and have no lock, also no hot water. Location is great but I would not recommend here to anyone…

-No curtains. The light of day woke us up the first night. The noise was horrible we couldn't sleep. -No fan, it is extremely hot in the room -Tap in the room isn't working -Water in the shower is freezing. No hot water -All surfaces are dirty -Only 2 plugs are working for 4 people in the room But more importantly it was COVERED in bedbugs. EVERYWHERE in beds, walls, floors... i have pictures. No one helped at the help desk they don't care and we want a full refund

We had bed bugs, no warm water for the showers, and the kitchen was very dirty if we can even call it a kitchen. It’s really disgusting. We had to leave on the first night, and book another hotel because it’s was impossible to sleep there. So it was very expensive for us and the reception guy didn’t wanted to consider refund. Unacceptable.

Absoluutely terrible cleaning: we had BEDBUGS in our room (my friend and I are having a reaction with red dots to that), the kitchen was unusable because of cockroaches in sink and over the stove; thank god I took a shower on the first day there beacuse the next day a cockroach appeared also in the shower. Toilets were always dirty but I think that’s people fault ‘cause i noticed someone cleaning it every morning. I think the only really positive thing is the position, really close to the center

Me alojé en este hostel del 8 al 9 de mayo y la experiencia fue completamente inaceptable. Las fotos no se corresponden en absoluto con la realidad. La habitación presentaba graves problemas de higiene: paredes con humedad y manchas, ventanas muy sucias, iluminación defectuosa y un estado general de abandono. Lo más grave fue la presencia de una infestación de chinches en la cama, almohadas, mantas y paredes. Debido a esta situación, fue imposible permanecer en el alojamiento y nos vimos obligados a abandonarlo durante la noche. Tuvimos que salir de madrugada y buscar otro lugar donde pasar la noche por nuestra cuenta, ya que no se ofreció ninguna solución inmediata. Adjunto fotos y vídeos como prueba de las condiciones encontradas. No recomiendo este establecimiento bajo ningún concepto.

Checked in and my room was very dirty still. Switched me to a different room where I found bed bugs.

Experiencia NEFASTA en Princess Hostel. De verdad, de lo peor que me he encontrado. La habitación estaba llena de chinches y garrapatas, una auténtica pesadilla. Es asqueroso que un sitio tengas esas condiciones tan hediondas. Pero lo peor no fue eso (que ya es decir), sino el trato. A la 1 de la madrugada nos dejaron tiradas a 7 chicas en la calle como si nada, sin solución, sin ayuda y sin importarles absolutamente nada. Los de recepción, un desastre total: incompetentes, pasotas y encima negándose a llamar a un responsable, ya que segun ellos ni sabian quien era su jefe. Además que mientras nos atendian solo veian tik tok. Y por si fuera poco, la ducha daba auténtico asco: sucia, descuidada y con un hilo de agua ridículo, sin presión ninguna. Ducharse ahí era más un castigo que otra cosa. Y nada más entrar, el remate final: había calzoncillos usados en la habitación. Una guarrada tremenda y una falta de limpieza que da vergüenza. Vamos, que si estás pensando en ir, huye mientras puedas. Una verguenza de sitio, esta para cerrarlo ya. No pongo menos porque no puedo.

DO NOT STAY HERE! I booked without reading the reviews. Don't be like me. The room was tiny, dark, smelled weird, the lockers were too small for even my hand baggage, you can hear *everything* so loundly from outside and the hallway. And worst, BED BUGS. I read the reviews about the bed bugs while laying in the bed, jumped out of the bed, and immediately found the bugs for myself. Disgusting. I was there not even an hour before checking out. Was only going to be there for 1 night before flying out early the next morning. Stay literally anywhere else.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! This place is infested with BED BUGS, is dirty, dingy, so loud from the traffic outside and the constant noise in the halls. The lockers are too small to put anything in. I just needed somewhere for the night but only made it an hour before finding bed bugs crawling around and promptly leaving to find somewhere else to stay. This place is known among other hostels & hotels in Amsterdam for having bedbugs and being unsanitary. Can confirm there were bed bugs, but even better I somehow got lice from the unclean linen.... Now I know what you're thinking, I could have had lice before going to the hostel! However I had my hair dyed at the hairdressers 2 days before, so thats incredibly unlikely.

El primer día que llegamos al alojamiento en las sabanas habia chinches y garrapatas, por lo que 7 chicas a las 2 de la mañana tuvimos que buscarnos un alojamiento de última hora. Queremos nuestro reembolso completo pero lo único que hacen es pasar del tema, decirnos que ya responderán al supuesto correo que mandan a su superior y esperar a que nos vayamos para tomarnos y nunca devolverlo, aparte los empleados se reían en nuestra cara. La higiene era pésima y habia ropa interior en el suelo.

Whoever runs the hostel does not care about any sort of customer service. After finding bed bugs we were informed by the staff to check out an email for a refund. We have been emailing for a month with not a single response. We even tried calling and texting. We had to leave this hostel in the middle of the night and pay extra last minute for a new one. Looking back at the reviews I realise they got the bed bugs right after we booked which was a month before our stay giving them time to clean.

This place was awful, do not stay, bed bugs all over, completely unsafe and unsanitary. DO NOT GO HERE. I wish I could give it a rating of 0.

À FUIR!! L’auberge est remplie de punaises de lit , j’ai dû aller en urgence au docteur des plaques de boutons partout le corps il compris sur le visage, des insomnies à causse des grattages, les chambres sont affreuse, les prises tombes, l’eau ne marche pas, lés réceptionniste sont pas à l’écoute, ils s’en foutent royalement. Ne surtout pas y aller !!!!!!! J’ai fait une allergie au piqûre! Dommage qu’on ne puisse pas mettre de photo !

The place is disgusting. If your intention is to sleep with bedbugs, this is the ideal place! They don’t even have basic cutlery or cooking utensils, and they don’t clean the rooms either. The reception is a disaster — the worst place to stay.

My friend and I stayed in the 4 bed mixed dorm for 3 nights and have come home with bed beg bites all over our bodies. Overall didn’t think that it was that clean really anywhere. The windows didn’t have any sort of curtains so the room was easily viewable from the street. Property also smaller than what is perceived in photos. Anyway, moral of this review is the bed bugs

Warning! Bed bug hostel. The previous reviews are unfortunately factual . As soon as lights are off, the warmth of your body attracts a swarm of bed bugs. They obviously don’t clean surfaces as they are covered with smashed bugs including the walls. I have tried reaching them with every possible method to give them the opportunity to make this right and zero response. This is intentional negligence and I am legitimately surprised they are in business and can live with still inviting guests.

They had bed bugs, it was dirty, the night shift told us to go back to our bug infested room . There is no possibility to contact the mangement so you won't even get your money back and just stay traumatized from bugs crawling over you in the night .

Je met deux étoiles car le personnel est très gentil l'auberge est plutôt bien placé et l'auberge est plutôt sécurisée. Néanmoins je me suis fait mangé par les punaises de lits, l'auberge est très sale... Dommage... Il suffirait d'un grand coup de ménage et l'auberge serait impeccable....

Esse hostel deveria ser fechado. Não tem condições para estar aberto. Cheio daqueles bichos percevejos que te picam. Cheiro forte tapetes sujos. Banheiros péssimos. O recepcionista Roberto brasileiro era muito gente boa, mas está trabalhando num local péssimo. As escadas são muito estreitas. Eu não recomendo pra ninguém esse hostel... Coloquei aí as fotos dos percevejos, esqueci de tirar das paredes que tinham muitos...

Ich hätte lieber vorher die Rezessionen hier lesen sollen. Das hätte viel Ärger erspart. Wie die Vorrezessenten bereits beschrieben haben, sind unheimlich viele Bettwanzen vorhanden. Normal bin ich nicht besonders kleinlich, aber nachdem ich in 4 schlaflosen Stunden über 400 Bettwanzen ausgemerzt hatte, hab ich nochmals gründlich meine Kleidung und Gepäck abgesucht und nach etwa weiteren 30 Bettwanzen, die ich finden konnte, habe ich nachts um 2 das Hostel verlassen. Kein Ort, wo man sich wohl fühlen kann. Am Ende bin ich froh, keine Infektionen oder übertragbaren Krankheiten abbekommen zu haben. Nicht zu empfehlen, dann lieber etwas mehr für eine Unterkunft ausgeben.

SCAM🚨⚠️ Nous avons commencé par attendre 30 minutes devant dans le noir avant qu’on nous ouvre. Le téléphone et la sonnette ne marchent pas. Les murs sentent la weed, il y a des punaises de lit sur la moquette, pas de rideaux, pas de chauffage, certaines prises ne marchent pas, pas de douche à tous les étages. En arrivant nous avons voulu nous faire rembourser. Ils n’ont jamais répondu à nos appels/ mails. Une honte.

A FUIR ABSOLUMENT !!!!! j’ai reservé un sejour du vendredi 30.01.2026 jusqu’au lundi 02.01.2026 afin que je puisse aller a un event Hardcore le samedi durant la journée. Quel ne fut pas ma surprise lorsqu’en rentrant a 4 h du matin, j’aai trouvé quelqu'un qui dormait dans mon lit !!! Mais ça se n’est qu’un "tout petit soucis" en comparaison a ce qui arrive... hé oui car le dimanche matin a 10h on est venu me reveiller pour me dire qu'il fallait que je fasse mes affaires puisqu'il avait une "inspection" lol 🤣 ce jour là, et qque par conséquent je ne pourrai ni rester, ni meme dormir la derniere nuit que j’ai réservé 🤬🤬🤬 Me voila donc à la rue dans un pays qui n’est pas le mien sans aucunes possibilité de trouver un nuit ou loger pour cette dernière nuit (que j’ai du passer à LA RUE !!!!!!!!!!! C’est INADMISSIBLE !!!!! Aucune solution de relogement, RIEN !! et ça c’est sans compter l'état des chambres, de la "salle de bain" si on peut appeler ca comme ca, ainsi que les punaises de lit !!! N’y aller surtout pas, sous aucun prétextes!!!

This hostel was completely unsanitary and unsafe. The walls and bed sheets were dirty and appeared to have blood stains. The bathrooms were filthy, with clogged sinks and showers. There were multiple types of insects all over the bed and walls, not just bedbugs. We were bitten, causing rashes, bleeding, and allergic reactions. We contacted the hostel several times by email and asked to speak with the manager or owner, but they refused to respond or take responsibility. We were forced to leave and pay for another night at a clean hostel. This place is a serious health risk and, if this happens to others, it can and should be reported to the Amsterdam health authorities. We are still waiting for a refund.
