Big&O's House 2

At the first sight this hostel seemed to us very nice. But after one night I was covered full of bites. Could have been bed bugs. I don’t want to blame the hostel but they didn’t really care. They were not even willing to give us the half price back when we checked out earlier or to split the cost of washing. I would have liked to see more concessions. Just a bit sad.

After 3 pretty terrible nights at The B.M.P. Residence just down the road (a broken water heater, two gross rooms and a bad case of bed bugs) I moved here. They are clean, friendly (all of the desk staff was super helpful without trying to pressure me into tourism packages I didn't want or need) and the building is a treasure- Traditional Thai architecture with big dark wooden beams and flooring, the outside area is delightful and relaxing, and the showers are clean and functional. It is right across the road from a wonderful bakery (the Baan Bakery) and within a 3 minute walk from Old Town Chiang Mai. Totally worth the stop on your trip to Northern Thailand.
