Badly bitten by bedbugs during two night stay.

Negative experience: 2 nights with bedbug bites all over my body. Booked ~£40/night in advance, while walk-in guests paid ~£20 for the same dates. Room 8 had a broken window sealed with wood, no ventilation and extreme discomfort. I was moved to a 16-bed dorm; my belongings disappeared and were later found near storage after a dispute. Staff were rude and unhelpful and gave no basic info at check-in. No lockers: luggage must be handed to staff. Showers were unreliable (hot/cold/no water).

El lugar muy sucio y poco seguro, llegué a la habitación y había ropa interior secando. No ví, pero me comentaron que algunas habitaciones estaban infestadas con bedbugs. El personal no fue simpático, solo una chica de limpieza fue simpática. Finalmente decidí irme, no me quería quedar ahí. Como viajera sola no me sentía segura.

Genuinely horrible. I can now deal with somehow cleaning all my stuff so I don't have bed bugs in my home. AVOID!!!

I had the most miserable experience spending two nights in your hostel and would like to request a full refund. You can see my booking below. I understand this is a cheap hostel and it's dirty, grubby, toilet seats are missing, and so on. But: • Room 8 I was in had no ventilation. Someone was coughing. That's a health hazard. • I got bitten by bed bugs all over my body (photos attached). • Your fridge froze my food and I had to throw it out (Photos attached). I will now need to buy new food and decontaminate all my clothes, shoes and backpack to avoid investing my flat with bedbugs.

I was bitten by bedbugs. The pain and itching lasted for more than 2 weeks. It's a nightmare

Bed bug infestation, Dirty beds and piles of dirt around and under the bed. Beds were too cramped so couldn't even sit upright. No ventilation, broken toilet seats (1 was on the floor), Construction site out of the window so from 6 am very loud noises. A random alarm with building stairwell kept tripping). Broken floor tiles, and unhygienic bathrooms. Overall very unpleasant stay and i now am covered in bites from bed bugs. Will not be returning, will not be recommending. And considering reporting the hostel to Better Business Bureau and health inspectors, as this is unacceptable for the price.

Being bitten

It wasn’t clean, the staff were really nice but the place wasn’t clean and my bed had bed bugs, I kept itching all night and now my body covered bed bug bites which is certainly not pleasant and for what I paid definitely not worth it, it was rather expensive.

Most disrespectful set of people I have ever had to deal with. Bed bugs everywhere. It is impossible to get a good nights rest in this place. It is full of homeless people which explains the bed bugs that always bite when sleeping. The place stinks and is extremely dirty.

The place is bed bug infested. When I reported this to staff, they threatened to kick me out. I wrote an initial review and they threatened that if I don’t remove the review I will be banned. This issue really escalated to the point where one of the staff members came into my room and started taking videos of me while in my bed. They have no respect for anybody and the place is extremely dirty. None of the equipments work and staff will verbally insult you and threaten you with a ban if you point out any of their mistakes. On many occasions for whatever reason they will lock you either in or out of the hostel as they have gone on break and you will have to wait to exit the building. I’m pretty sure that’s illegal. The place also stinks and some rooms have 17 people in it with no window. This place is not conducive for human inhabitation and it has been shut down by the council before in the past. Their issues still haven’t been fixed. If you have respect for yourself I wouldn’t advise coming here.

Bedbugs all over Porters were racists and didn’t care about welfare of humans.

I had a very disappointing stay at this property. The staff were unhelpful and unprofessional, making the experience frustrating from the start. It seemed like they had little interest in ensuring guest satisfaction or addressing concerns. The most alarming issue, however, was the presence of bedbugs. This was completely unacceptable and made the stay not only uncomfortable but also deeply unhygienic. It’s clear the property is not maintaining the basic cleanliness standards expected of any accommodation. I would not recommend staying here until these serious issues are addressed.

C’est sale partout et casser! Il y a des sans abris qui habite la à plein temps. Je me suis fait piquer par des punaises de lits. Les partis communes ne sont jamais aérer, sa sent très mauvais partout, l’atmosphère est malsaine. Il fait froid dans les chambres. Le personnel est carrément désagréable! C’est bruyant toute la nuit vue que c’est à côté de la gare. Je le déconseille fortement

In all honesty I'd sacrifice on the price point as the place is quite smelly, freezing cold (the central heating in the female dorm did not work) and there were stains on the sheets. Unfortunately I also awoke and saw a bedbug crawling on the sheets (pictured)

I booked a bed in a 6-bed female dorm and was utterly disappointed from the moment I arrived. The reception is located inside a smelly shop, which immediately set a bad tone. Once I got to the hostel area, things only got worse. The room was filthy, with the bed sheets looking grey and unwashed, and to top it off, there were bedbugs. The toilets were absolutely disgusting, adding to the overall lack of hygiene throughout the place. It was by far the worst hostel I’ve ever encountered. I couldn’t bear to stay even one night and had to leave immediately to book another place. Don’t waste your money or time here.

Una struttura fatiscente, sporca, buia, manco nelle topaie si sta così. Letti ammassati, bagni rotti, persone strane risiedono all'interno... Ho pagato per 3 notti, per necessità sono stata una sola e aggiungerei per fortuna. Me ne sono letteralmente fuggita!! In primis non rispettano i posti assegnati, poi ci sono le cimici da letto, una stanza così stretta che non si respira nemmeno, tra le varie puzze. L'ingresso è un mini market, con "reception" con vetro rotto, scale strette, muffa ovunque, veramente scappate da questo scempio! Io non lo so come possa esistere un degrado del genere. Ognuno fa quello che vuole, chi mangia in camera, chi parla a voce alta al telefono durante la notte, non c'è assolutamente rispetto per niente! FUGGITE!

Putrid place, staff lied, bed bugs!

The bathroom facilities were not good. One of the toilet seats was on the floor completely, a sink was flooded up to the top, there was water all over the bathroom floor and nothing there felt clean. A week later, I have welts that look like bed bug bites all over my arms.

Dirty place, and I left finding out I was covered in Bed Bugs. I've never experienced or seen them before and was shocked. The place need to be shut down. My pic of the room makes it look nice, believe me it's not, the room smells, it's hot, the shower room not clean, toilet seats broken, leaking pipes, no toilet paper. Just an absolute disgraceful place. And no you don't get what you pay for, regardless how cheap, it's terrible.

The dormitory where I slept for one night had such a putrid smell that I had to ask the cleaner to get some air freshener and spray the dormitory. Nothing was done about this. There were also bed bugs in the mattress and pillow. I couldn't wait to get out of there. Disgusting!!!

Endroit à fuir, vraiment ! Les chambres sont dans une cave humide et glauque, on a à peine la place de passer debout entre les lits, il n’y a pas d’armoire pour entreposer ses affaires. Il y avait des traces de sang sur les murs et je me demandais d’où ça venais. Pour couronner le tout la chambre est remplie de punaises de lit, des énormes qui quand on les écrases déverse du sang d’autres voyageurs.

The entire room I stayed in was infested with bed bugs, even after moving beds after being woken up to bites I found more and ended up sleeping with no cover. There was also someone else’s blood stain on the sheets. I complained to the hostel and even after several weeks haven’t responded or refunded me.

NEVER STAY HERE. I’m covered in bug bites & I don’t know if that’s from mosquitos or bed bugs. The Toilets have no seats & are filthy. I didn’t shower or use the bathrooms for my 1 night stay. They’re charge £31-39/night & providing 0 services. There is 1 elderly man who cleans the bathrooms that have no toilet seats. There are NO lockers in the dorms. You have to give your valuables to reception to be locked or keep them in the dorm. Reception is a corner store shop & the lounge is for employee

The Room is not clean , smelling. The shower broken and smelling . Bedsheet so old and bedbugs on the bed . To me this is the worse hostel I have ever seen . Nothing good about it. Smelling from the entrance to the room.

Every room filled with bed bugs and staff seem to not care at all about it simply giving you a different bed in the same room

Cleanless of the bed, bed bugs bother all nigth, and also the mai area had a mess. But for the price i wasnt expect more than i recived, that was okay, but bed bugs its never okay.

I got attacked by bed bugs

The room was damp, dirty and smelly. The sheets didn't smell or look clean and I woke up with bed bugs crawling beside my face. I got 3 hours sleep over the two nights. Never again.

This property is not for travellers. And is pretty close to diabolical all round. The rooms are cramped and no lockers. Bathrooms are terrible and scarce called clean. Toilet seats are broken on almost all toilets. I got ravaged by bed bugs in multiple rooms. All round horrible experience, do not stay here unless you absolutely have to.

Bed has bedbugs it really bad

I woke up and was covered in bites from bed bugs, they charge £3 to use a towel, the bedding looks like it's never been changed, and the rooms smelt really bad. The shower and toilets aren't clean with the soap, pretty much water, instead of soap.

Es gab Bettwanzen (Nicht OK!). Es hat gestunken, wirkte heruntergekommen und die Gäste waren etwas beängstigend. Ich habe mich überhaupt nicht wohlgefühlt.
