Auberge horrible! Insalubre!

When I arrived, I was greeted by a screaming heroin addict in the front hallway, who proceeded to pass out from an overdose, before he was hauled away in an ambulance. The room smelled like body odor, so bad I had to ask if they had any Fabreeze or something to mitigate. The curfew wasn’t enforced, people talk in the bedroom area with the lights on all night. The entire place was f* DISGUSTING. I’m gotta wash all my clothes in hot water because I’m worried about bedbugs. I will not be back

Having stayed at a few hostels (not in montreal though), i must say it is not at all a good place. The only star i can give is for the lady who runs it. She is friendly. Everything else is way below average. Bed bugs, crowded rooms, not well kept kitchen etc. Even the washrooms aren't appealing even though I must appreciate the effort from the house keeping. I feel it isn't because of the management, rather it's the guests. You don't get a safe (although myself and all my belongings were perfectly safe.), well mannered vibe from the guests at this place.Terribly sorry, if that sounded judgemental!

Analisi dell'atmosfera
