Hurricane Hostel

Very small but great location so close to everything, was social in the nights with free beer and most people then went out, good cooking space, bathrooms are small and toilet and shower are in the same room so had to wait at times. Did get bed bugs from here on the last day tho otherwise was great.

This hostel made me never want to stay in hostels again. No consistent or visible cleaning staff led to bedbugs, three toilets being used by more than 9 people, but cleaned maybe once a day? By nighttime the toilet areas were soiled, and nobody came to clean or disinfect them on the evening shift. The showers and sinks were not disinfected and buildup could be seen in the sinks. Poorly lit and badly ventilated common areas and halls contributed to the atmosphere feeling dirty. Random open storage closets, empty dog bowls and a tarp for a floor, the hostel is not worth any more than the rate charged. The common kitchen and free coffee are nice to have and the workers were all very polite.
