First day I couldn't sleep because of bedbugs but reported and sorted out.

Apenas fiquei 8 dias sendo atacada por percevejos. E todos os dias falava que minha “alergia” estava piorando e ninguém informou que tinha percevejos no local.

Não aconteceu comigo, mas dois brasileiros que estavam no térreo tiveram problemas com percevejos e o hostel não soube lidar muito bem. Então fica apenas o alerta.

I am writing to formally express my deep dissatisfaction with the hygiene conditions I encountered at the accommodation where I stayed. During my stay, I was shocked to discover the presence of bedbugs in the bed, which is completely unacceptable for any establishment that receives guests. In addition to the psychological distress caused, I suffered multiple bites across my body, resulting in visible irritation and significant discomfort, severely affecting my well-being. I must also stress that I have never before been a victim of this type of infestation, which makes the situation even more alarming. In the early hours of Sunday, the 29th, upon clearly confirming the presence of these insects in the bed, I was forced to immediately stop using it. As a result, I spent the remainder of the night in the living room under improvised and clearly inadequate conditions, which only worsened my already negative experience. I am now genuinely concerned about the possibility of carrying this infestation back to my home, which is causing me considerable anxiety. This situation reflects a serious failure in maintaining basic hygiene standards and proper pest control. I deeply regret having chosen this accommodation and strongly regret my decision to stay at your facilities. The experience was far below expectations and had a direct impact on my comfort and health. I expect this complaint to be taken with the utmost seriousness and that urgent corrective measures are implemented to ensure that no other guest is subjected to such an unacceptable situation.

The place has great potential, especially because of its excellent location and the amazing staff who are very welcoming and helpful. However, the accommodation itself needs improvement. Before visiting, I had read reviews mentioning issues with bedding being affected by bedbugs and roaches, and I saw responses indicating that management would address the problem. Unfortunately, I experienced the same issue in the mixed dormitories, which was quite disappointing. Because of this I made sure not to even spend any time at the premise. I was also uncomfortable with the payment policy. I was required to pay the full amount at check-in without this being clearly communicated beforehand. It gave the impression that guests might feel obliged to stay even if they encounter issues, especially since refunds could take time. With some attention to cleanliness and clearer communication about payment policies, this place could offer a much better experience for guests.
