Smart Garden Homestay

- Ich verstehe die guten Bewertungen nicht. Wir haben ein dreckiges Zimmer bezogen, aus dem wir am liebsten rückwärts wieder raus gegangen wären. Das Bad war dreckig und hellhörig. Der Blick aus dem Fenster geht gegen eine dreckige Wand, an der unsere Klimaanlage befestigt war und somit permanent zu hören war. Als wir diese Mängel ansprachen, wurde uns direkt angeboten nur eine Nacht zu bleiben und alles würde storniert werden. Das haben wir noch bei zwei weiteren Paaren an diesem Tag gehört. Es scheint also ein bekanntes Problem zu sein. Der Pool geht zur Straße raus, wo sehr viel Verkehr und Lärm herrscht. Den Preis ist es auf jeden Fall überhaupt nicht wert!

- We booked this hotel because of the good reviews, but: it was impossible to sleep because there is not insulation at all (you even hear the neighbors snoring), and we booked a room with buffet breakfast included, but when we arrived there, Kevin (the manager) said that almost no one pick the room with breakfast included, so they don’t offer it. They refunded us part of the money, but I would have preferred if they give what they offered…if I would knew, I would have searched another hotel.

- The rooms were awful - stains, squeaky doors, shower drain filter loose, shower leaked under basin, towels had holes, TV didn't work, insects on wall, no card payment accepted, little soundproofing,

- Unfortunately, our experience at this hotel was not good. I don’t understand why they still call themselves a spa hotel—the only “spa” service they offer is massage, and even that is separate. They do not have the infrastructure of a proper spa hotel. There is a lot of noise in the hallway, and you can hear what’s happening in other rooms—I even heard someone vomiting in the middle of the night. The breakfast is quite simple, though it matches the price of the stay. The bathroom soap has a very unpleasant smell, and the toilet paper is not soft at all. There is no proper refrigerator in the room—just a small one that kept water cool, but not cold. The air conditioning was noisy as well. The nightly rate itself isn’t bad, but I expected more from a place that calls itself a hotel—it feels more like a hostel with private rooms. The swimming pool is the only strong point; it is actually very good. However, the sun loungers are somewhat dirty.

- Le fait de demander de faire la chambre, nous sommes restés plusieurs jours. D'ailleurs pas fait systématiquement.

+ We had a lovely stay here, Kevin was super lovely and helpful with everything why question we had and also gave lots of really good recommendations and booked coconut boats and cooking class for us. The rooms had great air conditioning.

- One of the days housekeeping entered the room at 8am to charge the beds and clean the room. Turning all the lights on and speaking extremely loudly waking up the whole room. This is very inconsiderate and rude. Another day housekeeping failed to clean the room completely and when asked for them to clean I was told they had been it was the guest making the rooms messy. This was not the case as the girl who had checked out that day bed had not even been changed. When the new guest came to check in the room we was accused of swapping beds, no one had moved. To make it worse I asked for an extra toilet roll as the dorm room kept running out and was told no…

+ Das Hotel hat eine gute Lage und die Altstadt ist fußläufig erreichbar. Der Pool war besonders wegen des heißen Wetters super, um sich nachmittags abzukühlen und zu entspannen. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das Personal, was durchweg sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend war. Kevin hat uns am Anfang unserer Reise sehr freundlich empfangen und uns sehr gute Tipps für lokale Restaurants und Läden gegeben. Wir haben uns bei ihm sofort gut aufgehoben gefühlt und konnten bei Fragen immer auf ihn zukommen. Uns wurde sogar ein früherer Check in ermöglicht, womit wir gar nicht gerechnet haben.

+ Kevin of course. Follow his recommendations for food and coffee!!! He organised anything we needed with a smile. Bikes we borrowed were old but faithful and free. Brakes did fail on one of them. Room was fine. Vietnamese seem to like hard beds but it was fine for a hard mattress. The pool was awesome. We weren't at all bothered by noise so I was surprised by some other reviews. The buffet breakfast was good.
