Neighbourgood Romney

The location is not great and the area can get quite noisy. I would say this is not a luxury place as advertised. Accessibility is bad and there are no porters to assist with luggage. The place is so underwhelming, with very little amenities. They do not serve dinner on site and no additional meals as they have a 3 PM cut off for food. The staff do not go out of their way to help guests. Besides the reception ladies the rest didn't seem to know much or care. I was in a one bedroom apartment which supposedly had a sea view, but it was just buildings and a tiny window of the of the actual sea. I reported to the reception ladies that my shower was leaking and the water the would flood the bathroom floor even after a quick shower. No one was sent to the room to have a look and when I called housekeeping to at least mop the floor I was told that they do not work after 15:30, as that is the cut off time. So I had to pile up towels and try skip over the wet floor. There was no complementary water and every time I ordered water I was reminded of the R25 , that needed to be paid. This was in bad taste , it's as it seems like the staff cared way too much about that and less about clients service. I also requested that the room be serviced quite regularly due to allergies especially dust. I checked out and my linen had not been changed three days later. To top it all off I got bitten by mosquitoes and not sure it also could've been bedbugs. Again, I advised the lady at reception and she didn't offer any form of assistance or seem concerned about this. Sadly, I will not be staying at Romney luxury apartments ever again!
