WARNING! BED BUGS ! Absolutely poor hygiene, with no concern for the residents. Stayed in 104 and was bitten by bed bugs throughout the night. Mattress was changed the next day to no effect. Was shifted to neighbouring bed after complaints, but the problems still existed. Other room mates there warned me that the management was aware of this issue as there has been complaints previously. This is a negligent and dangerous behavior from the management side. Manager and team kept passing the buck, and a refund hasn't been initiated in 48 hours. EDIT (28/06). Refund finally provided after several followup calls.

I faced during my stay at your property. Bed Bug Infestation: The room and bedding were affected by bed bugs, causing significant discomfort and making it difficult to sleep. This is a serious hygiene concern that requires immediate attention. Common Area Unavailability: The common area, which is advertised as a shared space for guests, was frequently occupied for other activities and was not accessible to guests. When we approached the staff regarding this issue, we were simply told to "write a complaint to Zostel management" instead of receiving any assistance. Air Conditioning Issues: The air conditioners were not functioning properly, resulting in an uncomfortable stay, especially considering the weather conditions. Kitchen Closure: The kitchen facility was closed and unavailable during the stay. This was highly inconvenient, as access to kitchen facilities is one of the reasons many travelers choose hostel accommodations. Overall, the experience fell far below the standards expected from Zostel. I request that these issues be investigated and appropriate corrective actions be taken. I would also appreciate a response regarding the steps being taken to address these concerns and any compensation that may be considered for the inconvenience caused.

Requested a room change after reporting bed bugs. One staff member acknowledged only a single bed issue, but the entire room was infested. Beds are unstable — the whole frame moves when you turn. Unsafe and unacceptable; would not recommend.

Bed bugs, dirty washroom, no hygiene, cafe not working, no laundry service. Sleeping is really tough with so many people talking and moving

I found bed bugs and told them about it. They didn't care and took no action. Really bad behaviour. Wouldn't recommend to anyone. Moved out the next morning. In general also not clean.

We stayed as a group of 5 people in zostel hyderabad... Price was affordable ... There was bed bug in the bed and got bitten ruining sleep .. There was cockroaches in the room Bathroom was okay .. hot water was available ... AC remote was not given which caused inconvinience at first but they rectified it when informed ... Zostel front door was closed when we came late night .. so has to stand outside till zostel people came ... No lock was provided for the room nor for lockers inside room so when asked they told to buy a lock and key and they charged 80 rupee for a small lock and key .. which i didnt appreciate Food from the cafe attached to zostel is exceptionally good ... Chicken noodles there is a must try ... All in all it was an okay okay stay

No lift is available, many bed bugs, dirty blankets

I booked a bed on dorm & the dorm is not even cleaned In one of the bed there is bed bugs are there & staff and person no one cares, there is no lift as well, From my perspective a big no to this place.

Less amenities, more cost and bed full of bed bugs

Very bad experience at hybd Zostel. Rooms are not that great, saw few bedbugs.

If there would be negative rating, I would give that. You'll get Bedbugs, mosquitoes and cockroches only not a pleasant stay, so be ready

1. Stayed for two nights and ended up with the worst possible bed bug infection. Itchy red rashes all over the body which will take weeks to cure. Spent 1.6k for the stay and another 2k for the hospital. 2. Went out in the morning and when i came back in the evening, my bed was given to another person. He had his check in on the next day but got confused with the dates. But it’s the hostel’s responsibility to check the check in dates before allotting beds. How could they allot my bed to someone else when I left my luggage behind? 3. Says that the cafe opens at 8. Nope, it doesn’t.

Rooms are closed all day and has a pungent smell AC was not cooling AC was leaking water. Lots of mosquito and bedbugs too I checked in at 2 AM. At the reception there were four folks all drunk including the guy who completed the checkin formalities. They were waiting for Zomato order and they were so drunk one of the guy even hugged me . They alloted me locker number 6 while my bed number was 2. When the bed number 6 checked out they broke my locker with out the permission

Nightmarish bed bug Experience I had booked a 5 night stay and it was my first time at zostel. Having been a patron of other hostel brands like gostops, i had hoped that zostel would equal if not better them. It did beat them , only on the horror part. The first night of being bit by the bugs i dismissed it thinking they were mosquitoes but only after the second night of stay i saw the bugs themselves after waking upto bites all over my hands and legs. The pain was terrible and the thought of staying with blood leeching parasites was unbearable so i asked to checkout immediately . The manager provided a refund for the remainder of the stay but in no ways was this a compensation for the horrendous experience . I still feel anxious if any of those got into my luggage or something knowing how invasive they can be. I hope the property takes occupant safety more seriously . The beds do not have privacy blinds, this is one of the bare minimum things you give in a dorm man. These were supposed to be mixed gender dorms too, imagine how uncomfortable someone could get. A big friendly dog resides in the property that is at times walked by the staff that are simply powerless infront of it. I am a dog lover but for those that are afraid of dogs and want to book here, you need to be aware. The locker cabinets are too tiny to be of any actual use and no lock is provider by default unlike in gostops. The rooms have no access control. Basically anyone from or even off the property can come and go easily, your objects and you are not necessarily safe. Zostel was supposed to mean an experience but it feels no better than a railway station dorm.
