Casa del Pavo Real

Hello, we spent three nights at this property and paid for the One Bed Bungalow. On the first night we found bedbugs in our room (Room 8) - they moved us to a much smaller room (with a lower price per night and dead cockroaches on the walls) for the evening and said they would look into the issue. We found bed bugs in our luggage after being moved. We did not see any pest inspector come to the property and they moved more people into the same room while we were staying there. We were then moved into a new room for our second and third night, but they did not offer to clean our belongings to ensure that we did not spread the infection. We had to insist they did this, and we were left with nothing to wear except a t-shirt each. They assured us our laundry would be ready the next day, but then when we went to collect it, it was sat in the same place and had not been touched and they tried to blame us saying we had not told them the clothing was ready to be cleaned which we clearly had and we never even took these clothes to our new room. We had to wait until 40 mins before checkout to receive all our belongings and they were rushing us to check out on time. In summary we spent the majority of our trip with no clothes and massively stressed about infection. We did not see them properly investigate the bed bug issue at all and they offered no compensation for the issue (not even a free drink) or a refund for the first night where we did not stay in the room we paid for. We contacted them after checking out to discuss this further so we wouldn’t have to leave a negative review but they told Booking.com that we never stayed at the hotel and therefore wouldn’t be eligible to post an honest review.
