Recensione completa(09/23/2025) PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW. IT IS LONG, BUT WORTH IT. TRUST ME. We were broken into :) My wife and I booked this hotel for a part of our honeymoon, mostly because we were just out of school and did not have enough money to book a super expensive Hyatt or Hilton resort. Some of the reviews on this hotel said it was in a great location, close to the beach, and offered really good value for the money. The pictures looked good, and the location looked friendly enough. Fast foward to our arrival: as we drove around the block to find the entrance, we noticed that this place is cheap because it is where ALL the homeless people sleep and chill at night. We had rented a nice car, and there were several homeless individuals staring us down as we parked and made our way to the hotel. Due to flight complications, we had to arrive after-hours, and found the front desk all boarded up, which we thought was a little weird given that the whole placed is fenced in and had a whole gate. Anyways, we get into our room, and the room is definitely a lot more ghetto than the pictures depict. The windows are shutter's only with no screens or glass, so any noise inside the room or outside the room can be heard by EVERYONE. Also people can open your shutters from the outside and peep in. Weird. (We were on the first floor (ground level), so even scarier). The sheets had some burn holes in them, and the walls and cabinets have cracks in them. We decide that we are being too picky and that it might just be part of the "experience." We take our showers and settle in to go to bed. Around 3am I woke up to a weird sound and light outside our door, and it turns out some homeless dude was ACTIVELY TRYING TO BREAK INTO OUR ROOM. We call the police and they said THAT IT WAS NORMAL to get calls like in this in that area, given the number of homeless people either trying to sleep for free at night or tracking tourists to steal their stuff. I've attached a picture of the police report card to prove I'm not making this up. Obviously, we could not sleep, and left the room right before 7am, which is when the front desk opens. We saw the front desk lady outside around 6:58am, 2 MINUTES PRIOR TO OPENING TIME. She sees us sitting outside with packed bags, and we tell her that we were BROKEN INTO last night. ALL WE GET IS A "sorry, we're not open until 7am." We just told them we were broken into and they acted like it was a normal occurence (which according to the police it was). After making sure that our claim was legitimate, they did say they were going to refund our stay. One week later, our refund still wasn't started. I called the third-party company that we booked with (Priceline), and they end up saying that the hotel refused to refund the stay. Priceline themselves refunded our amount after we told them what happened, which is fantastic. Anyone still reading this, *please* spend a little extra money and stay at a cheaper, non-ocean front or "lower end" room in a better Hilton-style resort. Yes, we had to pay for parking, valet, and about $150 more for the rooms per night, but we were able to sleep at night, had clean sheets, and genuinely enjoyed our trip. We did not have a lot of money, but going somewhere nicer was definitely worth not getting mugged or potentially worse.

To top all this off yesterday the cleaners came into our room and either threw away or stole my cousins shower shoes that were in the bathroom… Why they would even touch shoes that werent theirs no idea… Also my cherry on the cake to write this yesterday 2 different cop situations in the lobby… Imagine coming down and…

Recensione completaI have been here for about 4 days out of 6… There are a few things I would say that are positive which are its very close to the beach and the shops on the strip. However the negative to me outweighs everything else… The windows have no true glass they are shutters on a screen… You literally can hear every single sound every moment of every day… If someone is in the pool oh trust you will know and hear it….. There is only 1 wall plug in by the bed, the rest are by the bathroom to charge anything. The wall plug in you do have doesnt actually secure your plug it just drops the cord so its unusable The AC in the room is the bare minimal. I have had to sleep on the ground next to the AC because the room gets way too hot. We have 3 adults in the room and there is no other way to keep the room cool all because the windows are shutters and lets out all the cold air…. The shower is very grimey to me, it needs bleach and a very good scrub because the shower head is filled with calcium, the shower smells and fells very dirty… The pool itself is only until it becomes dusk… Despite the window situation, if you wanted to swim later at night you cannot.. They have you get out by dusk, which is weird to me because I have never been to somewhere other than here that does have long access hours to the pool.. As we have 3 full sized adults here we had to ask for more pillows because they are so flimsy and thin, the lady said “sorry we dont have any more pillows” Like what? that also makes no sense.. To top all this off yesterday the cleaners came into our room and either threw away or stole my cousins shower shoes that were in the bathroom… Why they would even touch shoes that werent theirs no idea… Also my cherry on the cake to write this yesterday 2 different cop situations in the lobby… Imagine coming down and boom theres like 6 police officers not once but twice in the matter of an hour in the lobby for different situations…. I would just recommend staying somewhere else. The staff have been friendly and overall experience is just okay, next trip I would definitely not even look here again

Recensione completaI went to this hotel with my family for our trip and my mother was overcharged and scammed big time. They only took money for the first night without telling my mom and then she had to pay for the rest of the nights of our stay at the property. The room looks sketchy. Showers are small and pretty cramped which doesn’t look nasty and dirty. Small TV, there was a door The price was supposed to be around thirteen hundred dollars but it ended up being over fourteen hundred. There is only two charging ports and it’s across the room so you have to charge your phones across the room and some charging ports don’t even work. There is literally no parking at all. Lying about being a resort when it looks like a broke run down motel. Lying about views when you open those janky windows that barely even open, all you get is the other rooms and the dang pool. They don’t provide any breakfast or dinner like the other hotels. Just a straight crappy hotel. DO NOT GO HERE WHEN YOU WANNA COME TO VISIT AT HAWAII! I PROMISE YOU DO NOT GO HERE!

Fraud!

Recensione completaFraud! We prepaid with credit card. No one is at front desk when we arrived. The security said they sent email of lockbox code but we never received any email other than confirmation. The security then said they cannot do anything and we need to wait for the office which will open the next morning. To summarize, we prepaid the full amount and never received any room and no one is at hotel.

Recensione completaReally disappointed with the service of this hotel! 1. Their stuff stole my shoes: On 9th May 2025, I checked in with my roommate and they gave us one-bed bedroom while we asked for a room with 2single bed. When we checked in, I took off my Shoes and the they shifted us to another room which was next to the prior room. And I mistakenly left my shoes there. Next day, I reported to the office and they said they have already guest in that room and they can’t check. I was telling them continuously that the shoes were there before the guest checked in so they definitely cleaned the room beforehand! Then they said their crew were honest and they usually report every lost item to the office after cleaning but in my case, they stolen the shoes which was a limited edition black puma shoes! I reported them and followed up for each and everyday and finally after 6night, they returned my shoes and they just said sorry!! Their crew stole it!! I was so disappointed and for the full trip (work purposes), I was worried about my belongings and they clearly failed to protect my belongings!! This is a serious issue for travellers! And initially they literally said they can’t do anything with that. But the shoes can’t be vanished from room!! When I said that, they said they will check with the crew after complaining for couple of days! Very poor management! 2. The ac was noisy, the washroom was not hygienic, very limited toiletries.

Recensione completaWarning: Think Twice Before Booking at this Hotel Hey everyone, I just wanted to share a rather unpleasant experience my family and I had at the Waikiki Heritage Hotel. My goal isn't to bash anyone, but to raise awareness so that you don't find yourselves in a similar predicament. I'm also curious if anyone else has had similar experiences with this establishment or others in the area. The Start of the Saga We booked a 9-night stay at Waikiki Heritage Hotel via Expedia. Given that the hotel is situated close to the popular Waikiki Beach, we were quite excited about our trip. However, our excitement was short-lived. Not As Advertised When we checked in, the room was nothing like what was shown in the photos. It was dark and located on the ground floor. On top of that, it was infested with bugs and smelled musty. We didn't take any immediate action, choosing to endure it for a day. However, on the second day, we decided enough was enough and started the process to check out early. After a game of back-and-forth between the hotel's support desk and Expedia, we managed to leave after 3 nights. Customer Service & Amenities To make matters worse, the hotel staff was far from welcoming. They seemed disinterested in assisting us with our concerns. We were also told that the hotel had no parking, which was not only inconvenient but also costly as we had to find alternative options far from the hotel. The Incident That Broke The Camel’s Back On our third night, we returned from the beach stressed because our infant had vomited. In our haste and concern, we accidentally left our room keys in the door. Come morning, we realized they were gone. When we approached the front desk about it, not only were they unsupportive, but they also slapped us with a $150 charge for the lost keys. And yes, I did unknowingly sign the agreement for this charge, but a little compassion would have gone a long way. Misleading Information on Expedia Just to add a cherry on top of this ordeal, the Expedia listing stated that parking was available at the hotel. This information is outright incorrect. On the first day, I ended up paying $16 for just 3 hours of parking at a postal office. Eventually, the hotel rented me a parking spot for $40 a day, which was located far from the hotel. I share this experience to raise awareness about the Waikiki Heritage Hotel, so others can make an informed decision before booking a stay there. The lack of amenities, misleading information, and poor customer service left us feeling ripped off and stressed during what was supposed to be a relaxing vacation. Has anyone else had a similar experience with this hotel or any other places in the Waikiki area? I'd love to hear your stories. Let's help each other make better choices when it comes to booking accommodations. Safe travels, everyone.
