Corfu Backpackers Beach Hostel

probably the worst hostel i’ve stayed in. weird vibes, not clean, bed bugs, the list goes on. we booked the corfu beach backpackers but it is actually the same place as the pink palace hostel, which they do not tell you.

What EVER you do do NOT stay at this place, I’m not one to leave reviews, but out of all the countries I’ve been to and all the places I stayed in, this was the absolute WORST …a lot of shady shit going on all the way from bed bugs… and paying the ppl hush money to keep quiet…and lies and deception about the location, and theirs tours have so much false advertising the corfu backpackers and pink palace are THE SAME. I booked corfu backpackers since the pink palace had so many bad reviews

This is nothing against the family who runs and owns this but I would NOT RECOMMEND this hostel. The room we booked on the beach was falsely advertised as we were put into another room much further away across from the Pink Palace. There was no ac or ventilation, the bedding was basically wet because of the humidity. I got the worst bed bugs I’ve ever had, so be careful. The view was pretty from our place and it’s close to town though.

DO NOT GO HERE!! BED BUGS!! the backpackers beach hostel and the pink palace hostel are the same thing, run by the same people just in a slightly different area. for starters, staff was rude when we were checking in, they didn’t even have our room and we overheard them say “just stick them in that room and wish there’s beds”— super disorganized, we didn’t even get the room we booked (which was supposed to be right on the beach, instead it was a 10 minute walk away), total rip off. NO AIR CONDITIONING in the dorms, the main pink palace does in the common areas, but not the rooms. it was hotter/more humid in the rooms than outside, the bed’s inside were damp, we ended up sleeping outside on the sun chairs because it was cooler and more comfortable than the room. we ended up back in the room early in the morning, then woke up with a bunch of bites. BED BUGS! the staff didn’t apologize or offer a refund, just said “okay thanks”. the bathroom was disgusting, and the door DIDN’T CLOSE! it barely closed and wouldn’t lock, super not okay. there was only two outlets in a room for five people, so bring a portable charger. overall, bad experience— you may have a better one, but keep all these in mind when booking. worse hostel ever. paid €70 to sleep outside.

BED BUGS !!!! || DO NOT BOOK !!!! pink palace & backpackers beach hostel are the same place—both awful. staff was rude, gave us the wrong room far from the beach. no a/c, beds were damp, hotter inside than out. bathroom door didn’t close or lock, 2 outlets for 5 people. we slept outside on sun chairs—paid €70 for that. went inside eventually, then woke up covered in bed bug bites. staff didn’t care, no refund, no apology. filthy, disorganized, scammy. worst hostel ever. avoid at all costs!!!!

Good way to meet new people and the activities the hostel offers could be fun, we did the ATV tour and had a great time. The bathrooms were pretty gross and most of the time the shower was cold. The location is nice but lots of hills. We also got bed bugs here, it was pretty annoying.
