The Clock Hostel And Suites

Bed Bugs included Das einzig Gute an diesem Hostel, ist die Lage. Ansonsten ist mein Tipp - das Weite zu suchen. Der Schlafsaal umfasst mehr als 30 Betten und man findet keine Ruhe. Das Radio wird im Raum ab 07:00 Uhr morgens angemacht und in den Betten wartet der Alptraum eines jeden Backpackers - Bettwanzen. Ich wurde direkt in der ersten Nacht befallen und sollte dann noch für den Waschservice bezahlen. Hier kam mir der Rezeptionist nach einer heftigen Diskussion dann aber entgegen. Auch fliegende Armeisen warten im Schlafsaal zur genüge. Es ist überall dreckig, es wird aus dem Kühlschrank geklaut und Sachen entwendet. Es wird nicht gelüftet und überall ist es sehr stickig und es mieft. Der Boden ist wirklcih schmutzig und die Bäder sind jederzeit überschwemmt. Kakerlaken hat das Hostel auch genügend zu bieten und das personal kommt einem nicht entgegen. Die Privaträume besitzen kein Zimmer und es riecht schimmlig. Die Spinde sind zur Hälfte nicht benutzbar, da sie kaputt sind. Das W-Lan funktioniert nur sporadisch bis gar nicht. Ich kann dieses Hostel nicht empfehlen.

* Bed bugs, old worn out mattress that sagged on one side, lumpy pillow. * Shower pressure was very weak, and cold (I decided not to wash my hair, it was such a slow dribble), no soap in the dispensary. *Reception could have showed more concern when I physically showed them the bed bug I found - he just flicked it off (didn't even kill it). He proactively offered to change my pillowcase and spray the bed but I had to ask for a new pillow and unfortunately they couldn't change my bed because they were fully booked (and I didn't want to move to a new hotel at midnight). After reading more reviews online it seems like bed bugs is a recurring issue. * The large dorm room has about 20-25 beds (doesn't mention how many when you book), so unsurprisingly there were the inevitable few who were pretty inconsiderate of everyone else's sleep (I asked one guy to spray his deodrant in the bathroom instead of right outside everyone's bunks at 1am, and another one from the same group to stop talking at 3am, I heard several other people 'shush' him to no effect). I am a heavy sleeper but you can hear everything. * Overall I was quite surprised how bad this place was, as booking.com rates it 8.2/10 and it's 4.4/5 stars on Google, but if you check all the latest reviews on Google they are pretty scathing... Not sure how the algorithms work but I would say it is over-rated currently, even for the low price.
