Rafiki Hostels - Dahab

Warning! 400 euros was stolen out of my bag. Why didn’t I have it in a locker? There was no lock on the lock on the locker and there is no staff past 18:00 and I arrived late. I left at 08:00 for my Open Water Course and staff doesn’t start to 09:00. Be aware that there are two doors both are not locked. The side door is open and it leads up the stairs to the dorm room where that door isn’t locked either. The senior manger made my issue about herself. She blamed me.

I had a trip planned to Petra with them 5 days in advance, this was my last chance to be able to go and they assured me I would be able to. 8 hours before I was suppose to be going, they told me they had basically forgotten about me and hadn’t set it up for me at all. booked an airport shuttle through Rafiki Hostel in advance for my late-night arrival at Sharm El Sheikh Airport. Unfortunately, when I arrived, nobody was there to collect me. I tried calling the hostel multiple times, but nobody answered the phone. 235 usd stolen from my bag there. i Told sb in the same dorm turned out he also missing bills. We came up with two hrs time gap when we were away n told the manager,manager says there's two staff came in the dorm during but he searched them,he found nothing, n he trusts his staff. Refunded me one night which is 1/10 of the money n told me it's their courtesy doesn't mean theyr responsible. Told a few ppl there n heard at least 5 ppl say they feel their stuff been flipped when away

My stay at this hostel was far from ideal. The location was a major drawback—far from everything, especially the beach, making it inconvenient for anyone hoping to explore or relax nearby. The layout of the hostel added to the inconvenience. The property is divided into separate blocks that don’t connect internally, meaning you have to walk outside to move between buildings. I was unable to access luggage storage without tracking down keys myself. The default response to issues is “message our Instagram,” which did not resolve anything in a timely manner. Pros: We first booked a 4 people dorm for two nights and we enjoyed our stay. People stay here were nice and friendly. Cons: But the reception lady was cold and unwelcoming. And there are some safety issues such as the dorm door has no lock, the front gate is never closed. Most importantly, I was assigned an upper bunk, and my bed had no guard rail! We then booked a private room for one night and we did not enjoy it at all. Cons: the room was facing the street which was very busy at night. ...

El Hostel está bien, pero está alejado de la zona del mar y para llegar hay q atravesar unas cuadras que no son muy lindas.

This was my first time staying in a hostel, and overall, the experience wasn't bad. However, I found the receptionist, Dina, to be unfriendly and not very welcoming. On the other hand, the housekeeping staff were excellent — very professional and attentive. I’d especially like to thank Mohamed Nour for his help and support during my stay. He truly made a positive difference in my experience.

Had a great stay, staff do an excellent job cultivating an atmosphere, including with many activities. Special shout out to Rahmahz for all the help and good conversation!

I had the best time here! It attracts such a good crowd. Everyone was so friendly and social, theres daily events, amazing free breakfast, nice hang out areas. The staff and volunteers are helpful, you can use the kitchen, beds are comfy. The only reason its not a 10 is because the showers could do with a deep clean, and also the pool. Would 100% recommend and come back, its like a family.

Rahma was amazing and assisted with all the information necessary for a pleasant stay in Dahab.

Absolutely loved it! The Hostel has two locations - one is a bit quieter (this one). Expect the pool house ofc where all the social activities take place. Their other location is a bit fancier I feel but I slept better here tbh. Alsoo the staff is incredibly kind and patient ! They will help you with everything!

Best hostel in Egypt! Loved my stay and the staff were so friendly and everything was just perfect. So many fun activities everyday.
