Only a small issue was finding some bedbugs in my cushion, and some noises from the bed (made of wood)

I did the mistake of not trusting older reviews saying that the place had bed bugs, since recent ones said they didn't, but I am now covered in bites and could feel them happening while being in bed but have never checked for bed bugs before in my life. When arriving home I had to take extra care with everything I brought back with me. It was also relatively distant from the city center and there was a brothel right next to it, but those aspects were far less bothersome.

Contrary to all the negative reviews, I found the place very clean (I saw that they cleaned every day), they definitely fixed the bedbug problem, in 3 days I didn't have any problems in the dorm, overall it's absolutely worth the price given the strategic location near the metro.

Pobre mantenimiento de las camas. Colchón viejo, almohada terrible y lleno de mosquitos y chinches.

Não tinha higiene, estava tudo sujo, imundo, tinha percevejos nas almofadas e pela cama inteira, não tem janelas no quarto, não tinha como respirar, não conseguia dormir pk os bichos me picavam e subiam

Unfortunately, some rooms are still infested with a bedbugs.

STAY AWAY. Cackroaches in every drawer in the kitchen. I’m worried that the place still has bed bugs. I had some red marks after I left, and my friend felt like some insect was running on her arm in the bed. Under the bed was very dusty. The place does not look like the pictures. The place was very dirty. Many old carpets had never been cleaned. The room smelled like dust. Don’t book this place. We were supposed to stay two nights, but checked out after one night. The manager told me I would only get a refund of the second night, if I didn’t write a review. I guess that’s why there are so few reviews here.

The deluxe room was tiny, smelly, and felt extremely suffocating -- it has virtually no window, as the only one faces the inner corridor. Worst thing, however, is that a few days after my stay, I developed a severe skin rash. According to my dermatologist, it was most likely caused by bedbug bites. While I don't have indisputable proof, it's very likely that I was bitten at this property. I do not recommend staying here. Additionally, the staff were patronizing and unhelpful.

Tudo muito pouco asseado, limpeza nos quartos, WC e cozinha.. e quando fui para a minha cama encontrei muitas marcas de animais mortos e ainda tive de matar um parasita na cortina da minha cama daqueles que se dizem "bed bugs"...

BEDBUGS running in the room, dust next to beds, carpets disgusting, stray cats in the kitchen, no A/C, no fan and room super warm, noise coming from the ladies next door. Am asking who this place can still be open, I will ask for full refund. Trash place and fake pics.

Bed bugs.Only 10 minutes in bed I couldn't stand it. I left the room and didn't sleep all night.

The bed linens hadn't been changed from the previous guests. we asked for a change of sheets and received a bottom sheet and a table cloth. wouldn't recommend staying here felt uneasy as other reviews mention bed bugs, and I could see nothing had been done to amend it.

❗BEDBUGS ❗ I stayed here from June 17th to 19th, 2025. Unfortunately, my bed was infested with bedbugs. I woke up with multiple bites and allergic reactions. When I informed the staff, their response was extremely dismissive and rude. Instead of addressing the situation professionally, they blamed me for confronting them in front of other guests, “not reporting earlier” and refused to cover the costs of medication or cleaning. I’ve since filed formal health complaints with Portuguese authorities. I do not recommend staying here. Hygiene is unacceptable, and customer service is worse.

I was bitten by bed bugs 4-5 days after checking out from here for home! Again the cleaners were friendly, but I'm not sure how the bed sheets, blankets, and towels were handled. Apart from this, the noise on the street was disturbing, especially when we had to keep the window open because of the hot weather.

During my stay there was bed bugs in the room i was staying at not saying it was the establishment fault but it's something very serious and I have to share it with future customers cause i left the establishment with multiple bite marks, hopefully they sort this out.

They have BEDBUGS and apparently don’t care enough to get rid of them. I saw the bedbugs myself and got bitten. They were kind enough to refund me, and I’ve already left, but it’s clearly a serious issue—other reviews mention it as well. That means the problem has been ongoing for at least six months. Some people have even uploaded videos in their Google reviews.

No view+bedbugs. I told the story to 2 clients there and showed the bedbug alive on my bed where I spent only 1 night. Good luck to following clients.

Unfortunately, I am going to complain since it was not a fortunate experience for me as I got bitten by bedbugs(both nights) So the first morning I woke up super tired cuz also my matters was saggy, uncomfortable and I missed some online classes the following morning. I totally understand it is not the employees fault t all. They had always been attentive and respectful to me and the situation but I think this is something the owners should put an eye on. Also, at night people were on their phones not all the time but maybe the rules of silence should be written somewhere.

El sitio estaba sucio, la habitación no estaba limpia, no habían cambiado las sabanas. Mi chica se sentó en la cama y se tuvo que levantar xq le picaron los chinches y tuvo reacción alérgica x picaduras de insectos. Muy mala experiencia, por esta razón tuvimos que dejar el hotel esa misma tarde.

Bedbugs!! in 8-beds mixed dorm next to the reception. The whole room is infected.and reception doesn’t deal with infection properly for at least 6 months back reviews. Spraying beds won’t help. Poor management. Like big time extremely low management. The boys run the place like they are 3year olds in a sandbox, have zero idea how to handle bad situations and false idea of hospitality. The guests are not priority, the staff (they live in the house) takes over the whole place and are loud, with all there drama out there in the public. Back to bedbugs situation: denied having them, got angry and blamed me for being rude to block review on booking. They refunded only when I showed them videos and photos of multiple running creatures all over my bed and my swollen face, arms and feet. Pillows are extremely dirty and probably blankets too. Had no sleep at all.

After sleeping one night in the bed I woke up with my whole body covered in rashes. Big red bites that got swolen and would itch so much that I would create scars from all the scratching. I knew at the same moment they were bedbugs, witch I'm terribly allergic to. I also saw rats running around and cockroaches everywhere. I would sit on a sofa and before see a cockroach walking around on it. If you go cook, the moment you open the drawers you see little cockroaches running around the cutlery. People that were staying at the hostel would talk to me about how they would have to wash everything before they used it and how they would hear rats in the walls. The only good thing about that place was that it was sheep, but I wouldn't stay there again even if they payed me. When I talked to the manager about the bedbugs he would just deny it saying there was nothing there. I asked them to change me to another bed, but in the end I even gave up on sleeping in there and spend the night awake in the living room with the rats and cockroaches.The next morning the manager even talked to me like I was the wrong one in the story for being afraid of sleeping in another bed of them. Just completely trying to gaslight me. I'm sure he was just afraid of me telling people in the hostel about the situation and leaving a bad review and ruining their reputation. As well, the place looks good in the pictures but person it just looks like a cripped safary with fake plants. The decoration is terrible. All the bathroom were also dirty and had hair all over the ground. The one they have upstairs even stinks and people would try to avoid it. I saw gum stuck inside the shower! And they had very bad toilet paper.

Alles, vor allem die ganz ganz schlechte Hygiene! Es war einfach katastrophal! Bettwanzen, schimmlige Duschen, Boden wischen ein Fremdbegriff…

Bettwanzenbefall wurde direkt gemeldet.
