Asleep Hostel

Alors fuyez en trois mots : punaise de lit !!! J’y ai séjourné début avril 2026 à ma deuxième nuit j’étais mangé par les punaises … et il y avait un commentaire datant de janvier 2026 que je n’avais pas vu le mentionnant. C’est dire ce qu’il ont fait pour les éradiquer … l’hôtel en était pleins dans tous les dortoirs… voilà voilà

Just a little warning for anyone thinking about booking this hostel. We left after one night as I found a bed bug crawling across my hoodle and the floor was also covered in cockroach poo. We had to move our bags outside the room to prevent bed bugs from infesting our clothes. Overall was probably the worst experience I've had in a hostel. However just to mention that the staff had perfect English and were extremely apologetic and gave us a full refund for our second night that we had booked.

Bed bugs! I found a bed bug after 1 night of staying there so had to move hostels and pack up all my clothing and wash it all and check my entire bag. They asked me if I could have brought it with me and then admitted to having them a month ago and having to clean the entire hostel. They were even having new people go into the room that day to sleep without telling them.

Es war nicht so sehr sauber fand ich. Leider hatten wir auch Bettwanzen im Zimmer, worauf uns sofort ein anderes Zimmer angeboten wurde. Der Aufenthaltsbereich ist wirklich sehr klein.

Hostel had a great vibe, all of the staff were lovely. Unfortunately after the 1st night I was covered in bedbug bites, 150 of them. We moved rooms for2nd night and even stayed a 3rd as we didn't want to spread the bugs to another hostel. We all had to pay about 300 baht each washing everything including backpacks but we received no contribution to this or to our stay. Not confident they knew how to deal with it either as mattresses were only hoovered and left in sun with deep clean of rooms...

Bedbugs are never the hostel’s fault Found bedbugs in my bed and reported it. They initially didn’t care too much about it but said they’d now read up on it, understood the issue and would close down the room. They acted like they had never heard of bedbugs before which I find hard to believe for a hostel. They said they’re going to take care of it but as I was leaving I heard someone else had bedbugs a couple days ago. Got one of my 2 nights refunded but that hardly covered laundry costs.

Beds are extremely uncomfortable and overall the place was not super clean - some others found bed bugs/other bugs in their beds which made the experience somewhat stressful.

Cheap hostel with all of the necessities and nice location, however we found a death bedbug in our bed. They did gave us a new bed, but overall the rooms/hostel were not very clean. Friendly staff.

BED BUGS !!!!

Accueil un peu froid à l'arrivée. Il faut aller vers les membres du personnel, souvent derrière leur smartphone, pour obtenir des informations. Il y a de nombreuses caméras à l'intérieur, même à la sortie des douches (qui sont sur le palier). Manque d'intimité dans les chambres (pas de rideaux). Peu d'espace pour déposer les sacs. En repliant nous sacs de soie, nous avons découvert plusieurs petites tâches de sang sur deux draps. (Nous étions trois.) Une personne a été semble-t-il été piquée par des punaises de lit (plusieurs boutons alignés sur la cheville). C'était notre premier logement pour trois nuits à notre arrivée en Thaïlande donc cela ne peut provenir que de là. J'ai vérifié les matelas en voyant ça mais à part des déchirures dedans, je n'ai pas vu de traces de punaises de lit. Soyez vigilants. Nous étions dans un dortoir de 8.

I had an awesome time here, given that the owner Mimi really tried to get everybody together with meals in the evenings, and we even went out to a bar together! Location is good if you need to catch a train early morning and it is generally situated in a very central area, you could basically walk around the city from the hostel. The only thing is I also seem to have bed bug bites on me after sleeping in B6 on the 4th floor. There seems to be someone else who had a similar experience, so I reckon they really need to sort that out as soon as possible, because the bites are very itchy and make your whole arm swell up like crazy!

just came back from Kanchanburi and halfway through my train journey back i realised a few bites on me and identified them as bed bugs, looked like a really clean place maybe someone infected that area given that their reviews are actually decent. they should do something about it. i stayed on the 4th level, room B bed 10. B10. My other mates didnt get infected so it should only be that bed for now as of 29th July 2018. However, customer service was really amazing. they are very friendly and smiley which is great.
