Saparis Station Hostel & Travel

Having stayed in over 100 hostels in 60+ cities, this has to be the hostel of the best value, not only across Vietnam but everywhere else including China which is usually the king of value. I managed to get a bed here as low as RM12 (less than 4usd) on some OTA platforms. First, the bed is ultra comfy, with thick firm (not hard) mattress and smooth linen and blanket. It made me wanna disrupt my itinerary by staying here one extra night for good rest. Second, the bed is in the form of 2m long x 1m high x 1m wide capsule. What does it mean? Not only privacy is taken care of, it’s spacious. Third, towel included. Not only included, I came back everyday to see it replaced with a new one 🫨 along with a re-tidied bed. Stop it already. I feel so bad for paying peanut for this. Fourth, clean and sleek with wooden surfaces. I really appreciated how it’s wooden and not matted (due to risk for bed bugs). Plus they made it a no-shoes policy; though some still overlooked the policy and wore shoes in, but it’s generally cleaner than elsewhere. And from time to time I was seeing the keeper doing some minor cleaning. So I genuinely couldn’t understand the review(s) about this place being not clean. What standards did they compare this place to? This is legit one of the cleanest dorms I’ve stayed though it could be the fact that my room was only half-filled. There are really many other reasons to like this place: private bathroom, lots of storage etc. One thing that I first didn’t like of this place was the location: it’s 17 min away from the center. But really, other options are around 10 mins too. And most importantly, if you’re arriving from Hanoi by G8 or Hello Kitty bus late night, this place’s location would be the best, around 5min walk. The only downside of this hostel is that the WiFi is virtually nonexistent inside the cabin, though it works fine in lobby.
