Palace Beach Hostel

Encontramos percevejos (bed bugs) em pelo menos três camas do quarto onde estávamos hospedados. Na primeira noite, minha amiga trocou de cama e eu fui transferido de quarto, mas, devido à lotação do hostel, precisei retornar ao quarto original no dia seguinte. A recepção informou que faria uma limpeza e dedetização das camas. A limpeza de fato aconteceu — havia bastante sujeira atrás das beliches —, porém o problema não foi resolvido. No máximo, aplicaram algum produto que não teve efeito. Chegamos a encontrar um verdadeiro foco de percevejos embaixo do suporte ao lado da cama, com vários insetos visíveis. Na última noite, matei pelo menos cinco percevejos próximos à minha cama e acabei passando a noite inteira sem conseguir dormir. Diante da situação, fui para outro hostel. O Booking reembolsou as noites não utilizadas, mas isso não compensa todo o transtorno e desconforto causados pela hospedagem. Também senti falta de preparo e comprometimento da equipe da recepção. Havia grande rotatividade de funcionários, e muitos pareciam não compreender a gravidade do problema, transmitindo uma sensação de descaso na condução do caso. Não recomendo este hostel. Viajo com frequência e nunca havia passado por uma experiência semelhante. O Rio possui inúmeras opções de hospedagem — vale a pena procurar outro lugar.

La verdad, esta ha sido una de las peores experiencias que he tenido viajando, y llevo muchos años haciéndolo. Nunca me había pasado algo así. El lugar es extremadamente sucio y las camas tienen chinches y otros insectos. La cama donde me quedé estaba completamente infestada: chinches, pulgas y todo tipo de bichos. Fue una situación realmente asquerosa y angustiante. Me picaron tanto que terminé teniendo que ir a urgencias por la reacción en la piel. A pesar de que el personal vio claramente mi estado, no recibí ningún tipo de ayuda ni apoyo. Tuve que cambiar de hostal y asumir por mi cuenta gastos adicionales en médicos, cremas y medicamentos. Incluso el médico me indicó lavar toda mi ropa por el riesgo de contaminación, y aun así el hostel no fue capaz ni siquiera de ayudar con algo básico como el laundry. Los baños están en muy malas condiciones, con paredes llenas de moho y una higiene general muy deficiente, lo cual solo refuerza el nivel de descuido del lugar. La gestión fue igual de mala. Se suponía que me devolverían el dinero de la última noche (la cual no pude quedarme por razones obvias), pero hasta ahora no he recibido nada. Me pidieron una cuenta PIX para hacer la devolución, y al explicar que no tengo PIX, me dijeron que lo harían a mi cuenta bancaria. Sin embargo, no han hecho la devolución, y por el momento tampoco responden mis mensajes. En resumen: un lugar sucio, descuidado y con un servicio completamente negligente. Sigo lidiando con las consecuencias físicas de haberme quedado allí, lo cual hace esta experiencia aún peor. No lo recomiendo en absoluto. Eviten este lugar y busquen otras opciones. Para fortuna del hostel no puedo subir videos(son asquerosos Poq se ven todos los bichos caminando 🤢🤮🤢🤮) , pero dejo adjunta las fotos.

Severe bedbug infestation. I was forced to leave two nights before my scheduled checkout because it was impossible to sleep. The owner initially agreed to refund me, but never followed through and completely ignored both the refund and the infestation issue. This is unacceptable, I strongly advise avoiding this place.

J’ai eu des punaises de lit lors de mon séjour ! Je les ai vu attend heureusement . Le réceptionniste a été très gentil et l’hostel était bien mais j’ai du partir à cause de cet inconvénient

J'ai malheuresement été victime de punaises de lits qui m'ont piquées sur les bras au moment du couché. J'en ai découvert 3 au total que j'ai prit en photo et montré au night auditor. Suite à cela le manager m'a proposé de m'offrir le petit dejeuner pour mes 2 dernières nuits et il m'a changé de chambre L'hostel est joli mais le netoyage n'est pas bien fait par manque de personnel de chambres. Les toillettes et salles de bains sont souvent sales avec poils, cheveux et sable de la plage. Il n'y a jamais de savon pour se laver les mains.

There are bed bugs in the hostal!!! I stayed 8-people dorm and disvovered 3 of them in my bed after having slept 3hours. I then spent the rest of the night in a chair next to the reception. Even downstairs I discovered 2 more bugs. I tried to get a refund for the night, but the said that they couldn‘t to it because I booked through Hostelworld. They also told me that they have had problema with bed bugs befor and that they just definfected to hostal a week ago. Complete nonsense.

3박 예약 중 2박 묵은 후 베드버그 물려서 체크아웃. 주말이라 월요일에 환불 해주기로 약속 받고 나온 거였는데 환불 못 받음. 당일 숙소 구하느라 그날 엄청 고생하고 세탁하고 살균하느라 돈도 많이 썼는데 ㅎㅎ 여행 액땜 값이라 생각하고 넘기지만 추천은 못하겠네요 I had a 3-night reservation but checked out after 2 nights because I got bedbug bites. owner is money hungry at the expense of the safety of the guests. i was bitten ~80 times by bed bugs on my first night. In the morning i told Vinny (guy at reception, who is great) who was concerned. he called the owner who came over. when i showed the owner the bed bugs on the bed he brushed them off and said no (implying they weren’t bed bugs) i looked at one of the neighbouring beds nearby which wasn’t being used and found a bed bug on it too the whole room is still in use despite Vinny suggesting to the owner they close it. in other words the owner knows there’s bed bugs and is still letting people sleep in the beds with them. people that overheard there were bedbugs were allowed to change rooms, people that just checked in were not told and slept in the same infested beds no evidence of anything being done to clean the room and the final nail in the coffin - refusing to give me a refund for the remaining nights i had booked, because there was ‘no evidence of bed bugs’ EDIT: in reply to the hostel’s disingenuous shameless response. to anyone reading this be assured i have no incentive to lie about my experience, the hostel owner on the other hand does… in terms of evidence: 1/ photo with dead bed bug 2/ photo of my back (apologies it’s gross). to note this was my first night sleeping after flying from home in london. the bites were categorically not from anywhere else 3/ i should’ve taken a video of this but seeing the owner find a literal bed bug, squeeze it with his fingers then brush it away don’t fall for their chatgpt nonsense response. terrible business ethics all round

Sadly had a very bad experience in this hostel. The place felt overall quite clean but I found bed bugs in my sheets. Not particularly blaming the hostel but maybe the cleaner, but I left straight away once I saw them. The hostel refused to refund my stay which concluded this stay on a very bad note. I would stay away from it.
