And the residents seemed to make ersatz complaints about tv volume and oh yeah, this one was so awesome—bedbug bites.

Bedbugs! I woke up after the first night of my stay to find several bedbugs in my bed, and the hotel refused to refund the remainder of my stay. Disgraceful handling of health hazard.
