MP Hostel Budapest

Hard to complain for the price i geuss. But their was a bed bug sleeping with me who also bit me on the back! Room 408 bed 2. I moved to another room which made me wish i had my other bed back because the old man sharing the bunk was practically living in the hostel and had a work desk set up an making phone calls. Idk its just weird. This is why some hostels have age limits/ 7 day limit. Over all lol it was okay

Cleanliness was not terrible but left much to be desired. The bathroom stank of urine. Shower setup is awkward with two unlockable cubicles next to each other and no hooks or shelves for your belongings while you showered - I had to hang mine over the curtain rod. Despite the no smoking and quiet hour rules both would come in from the windows facing onto the courtyard at all hours, defeating the purpose of even having such rules. Bedbugs - when I alerted them to the problem they first denied it, saying they'd never had them, then switched to blaming/gaslighting me. The blood smears on the wall around the bed, and their willingness to let in "respected, longtime customers" from off the street would seem to suggest this problem is not a new one.

I had strange bites all over my body. As the doctor said, they were bedbug bites.

Honestly not a bad hostel, facilities were basic but good. Showers in the women’s only dorm weren’t very private or clean but still ok. I did have a lot of bedbug bites though …

Bed bugs bit me! The light near the bed didn't work.

I don't like that property requires a deposit, only paid by credit card, and all the towels also require a deposit. There was no problem with that, but that was still unexpected, though I'm not an often guest at the Hostels, so maybe that's normal in there. However, we rented an entire room out, and I would expect that couple of towels were included. Another problem was our original room, there were insects under the beds and two from our group ended up all bitten after the first night. Insects were not the bed bugs, so at least there's that, but when staff came with one of the guests to check the room, the insect ran away and it looked really big. However, as I said, the problem was fixed.
