Hostel Durres

The facility is overrun with bedbugs, cockroaches, and mosquitoes. The sheets are dirty and serve as a home for many insects. The rooms are full of dust and mold. There's no air conditioning, so you have to open the windows, which lets in many insects from outside. The bathrooms are contaminated, with other people's feces and urine always lingering there. The Colombian woman and Mexican man at reception are both illegal workers. They said they were only going to work for three months and then go to another country. So it's best not to trust them. Their attitudes are arrogant. The shower rooms are mixed-gender, with no doors, only shower curtains, so there's a high chance that men will peek in and take secret photos of women showering. This is a very dangerous and unsafe place to stay. 施設はトコジラミ、ゴキブリ、蚊で溢れています。シーツは汚れていて多くの虫の住処になっている。部屋は埃とカビだらけ。エアコンはないので窓を開けるしかなく、外からも多くの虫が入る。バスルームは汚染されていて、いつも他人の排便や尿が長されずに残っている。レセプションのコロンビアの女とメキシコの男は共に不法就労者です。3ヶ月だけ働いて他の国に行くと言っていた。なので信用しない方がいい。態度は横柄です。シャワールームは男女混合で、ドアはなくシャワーカーテンのみになるので女性がシャワーを浴びている時に男性がのぞきこんだり、盗撮される可能性が高い。非常に危険で安全ではない宿。

Bed bugs, staff tried to keep money from a transaction and then called names and disrespected me when I asked more than once. Management was terrible. Showers are really hot and then really cold suddenly. I saw the biggest rat running into kitchen from the garden area. Refrigerator doesn’t work. Cold food was spoiling and getting hot and moldy but no one cleaned it. There were more volunteers than residents but they did nothing to keep the place comfortable. They treated residents like trash.

Gutes Hostel mit perfekter Lage! Küche war ok, Gemeinschaftsbereich sehr nett, Zimmer waren spartanisch eingerichtet, Bäder waren in Ordnung (könnte besser sein…) Ich glaube auch in meinem Bett waren Bettwanzen…

Avoid!! They have bedbugs and the whole place is really dirty. Dust everywhere. The toilets are in a really bad condition and they are never clean. The rooms and the whole house needs maintenance, everything is broken and the dorms are moldy. Cleaning lady is very rude. Staff doesn't speak English so its very difficult to communicate and not very helpful, doesn't seem to know anything about the city. Extremely noisy at night, because of the bar next door.

I had to change rooms because the bedroom had bed bugs! This can happen to anyone but the shock was to know that the infestation occurred in the previous week. the hostel was aware of it and proceeded with the disinfestation. However, the problem remained. they didn't ensure that the room was clean and ready to be used again. They didn't check everything before reopening the room. It was very irresponsible and it made the experience super uncomfortable. Also, the staff announced it like it was a normal event!

BED BUGS! they did treat two of the rooms for bed bugs while i was there but they moved a guy who woke up with bites from one of the bed bug rooms into the room i was staying in and did not treat the new room for bugs despite it being easy for the bugs to move into the new room on his bags. i strongly suspect they were already there. really the whole hostel would need to be temporarily closed and treated for bed bugs if they want to fix the issue. the staff seemed nice at first but were dismissive of the bed bug issue and initially attempted to hide it from guests, saying that the guy moved bc there was going to be an early morning check in in his dorm. they also tried to tell me i was the one of the only people with bites in the last two weeks so it must not be much of an issue, however there was another guy with bites (the one who moved into the room), and bed bugs only feed every 3-7 days so it makes sense that only a few people would have bed bug bites since there were not many people staying at the hostel to begin with.

BED BUGS! Later I read a review on google maps from a person telling that he also got bed bugs there a month ago. I don't think that they are fixing this problem correctly by only cleaning stuff.

Avoid at all costs, I was supposed to stay there for 3 nights but couldn't stand a night! Bed was full of bed bugs and they were eating me, regardless of the lovely couple were sleeping together on the upper bed! The new receptionist was very understanding and even offered to change the room, but eventually she gave me the money when I insisted to leave! So sorry for such a place to be in such condition of cleanliness, it's centrally located with a beautiful patio... I think they have to consider full renovation and disinfection!

The hostel was very chill. Super cool common area and good vibes within the hostel staff. The breakfast prepared by the lady is awesome. It seems clean as well! However, I was stung by bedbugs but I believe it is an isolated case since the hostel was very clean and cleaned every day. I reccomend a bed check to avoid future issues. Overall, I'd return with no problems.

Great location. Free breakfast. But bed bugs.
