I’ve stayed in many hostels in various countries and have never left early, until now. A highlight is how centrally located it is if you want to be in the heart of LF. I arrived and chose a bed in the female dorm. When checking the mattress I saw two dead bugs with a few others flying through the room. I told the people at reception who took a look and said they aren’t bed bugs. I was able to choose another bed, but looking at those I found the mattresses in poor condition with a lot of staining. The rooms were not clean and we found a bed bug. When we complained about it, the receptionist told us "this happened before and the people understood that this is something that happens" as if we were supposed to be okay with it. When we checked the edges of the mattress we found more evidence of bed bugs and a lot of dirt (including a potato chip). But she said they check and clean after every guest =)

Bed bugs have caused distressing bites on various body parts, resulting in intense itching and the potential for infections.
