Lisb'on Hostel

I really cannot recommend the Lisb'on Hostel. There were bedbugs in my room, and the bathroom was dirty and smelled terrible. The owners were also very rude and unhelpful when I mentioned the problem. Overall, a very unpleasant stay.

I was severely attacked by bedbugs.

I had some bed bug or bug in my bed that bit me all over. When I went to the reception to tell them About it, the gentleman there told me it must have been mosquito and asked if I have a picture of the bug. I showed the bite marks all over my legs. Then he sent another lady staff to come and inspect. Then I insisted that I need the sheets changed post which it was changed. I liked the room , privacy however this was a bit scary and uncomfortable. He said there is no way bugs would come as the frame is not wood but my bite marks are real and new from his hostel after I was sitting in the bed for like 30mins or so.

Reading the negative reviews before my visit about unfriendly staff, no warm water in the showers, and bed bugs in September - I can confirm that the only thing I experienced was that there was no warm water in the showers and thus it was extremely cold to take a shower. Especially visiting in February. Overall the place is a bit rough around the edges but the most important things such as bed linen and toilet looked clean to me - definitely not the place for the neatest ones though. I was worrying a bit about bed bugs but I experienced no such thing. Yes the staircase make a lot of noise but earplugs help! The staff was nice but could have made even more of an effort to engage with the guests.

unfortunately, I was bitten bedbugs and i did not realise first. Bed frame and floor were wooden. cleaner diluted hand soap with water instead of not fulfilling the hand soap. There were little flies in the kitchen. Definetely needs pest control

Brought home bedbugs!!

I was bitten by bedbugs. I tried to contact the property many times. Only after Booking intervened did they contact me and ask for photos with evidence of the bites. Then there was a long silence from the property.

Salí de ahí con picaduras de chinches. No hacen cambio de sábanas, me quede 3 noches y nunca entraron a limpiar ni cambiar sábanas de las chicas que hicieron check out. El aire acondicionado no funcionaba, hacía mucho calor y lo más grave fueron las picaduras que el médico me reviso y concluyó que fueron chinches. Por lo que leo, antes iba bien con la limpieza pero ahora es fatal y las camas son muy incómodas. Los Baños tampoco son muy limpios. Puede haber cambiado pero no había más opciones de hospedaje. Antes use Airbnb en todo el viaje y fue mejor. La verdad cuidado con estos bichos, son muy incómodas las picaduras, que además duran mucho tiempo en irse. Muy lindas las fotos en la web… pero tienen bichos por la falta de higiene.

Even if we already knew the building was old style, the beds were really in bad shape, if anybody in the room moves it’s really noisy, climbing on the upper bed is a nightmare. Also after the first night we found lots of bedbugs in our bed, in the sheets and behind the pillow, that means the cleaning was not properly done. They changed our room and bed, but is not easy to be chill after that. The bathroom could be better, the sink was clogged so basically whenever you took a shower there was a pool inside.

The hostel is in a great location The hostel has generally good staff, but it seems they are mostly volunteers with varying levels of training and knowledge This hostel is relatively clean, but with some issues. It definitely has ants, and possibly bedbugs. The breakfast is okay, not very comprehensive. You will need to buy your own food. This is a relatively pricy hostel, keep this in mind before you book.

Ganz schlimm, nicht zu empfehlen. Bettwanzen in den Betten und extrem respektlose Gäste. 5 Nächte dort, keine Nacht schlafen können. Organisation war super schlecht, jede Nacht ein einziges kommen und gehen. Könnte man null Sterne geben, hätte ich das getan.

Lage und Größe der Zimmer ist in Ordnung. Leider gab es auf dem Schlafsofa Bettwanzen.

Wanzen, igitt ! Unsere Tochter kam von der Klassenfahrt mit Bettwanzenstichen nach Hause... 12 Bettzimmer , eine Katastrophe.
